Why not have some fun and return to that Walmart store during that manager's shift:

1. Take 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they aren't looking.

2. Set all the alarm clocks in House wares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. Make a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the rest rooms.

4. Walk up to an employee and tell her in an official tone, 'Code3' in house wares..... and watch what happens.

5. Go to the Service Desk and ask to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.

6. Move a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to the Depends undergarments area.

7. Set up a tent in the camping department and tell other shoppers you'll invite them in if they'll bring pillows from the bedding department.

8. When a clerk asks if he/she can help you, begin to cry and asks, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?"

9. Look right into the security camera; use it as a mirror, and pick your nose.

10. While handling guns in the hunting department, ask the clerk if he knows where the antidepressants are.

11. Dart around the store suspiciously loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.

12. In the auto department, practice your"Madonna look" using different size funnels.

13. Hide in a clothing rack and when people browse through, yell "PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"

14. When an announcement cames over the loud speaker, assume the fetal position and scream "NO! NO It's those voices again!!!!"

(And; last, but not least!)

15. Go into a fitting room, shut the door and wait a while; then, yell, very loudly, "There is no toilet paper in here!

Wow, just read this thread. How about another viewpoint :BLAA:

Assuming that everything you said happened as stated, you should not only call the hotline, but send an email to the the top... Walmartstores.com: Investor Relations - Senior Management

Think about it this way. Walmart makes nothing. They are in the business of 1. supply chain management, and more importantly, 2. customer service. If you have a mutual fund or a 401k or a pension that is linked to the markets, you are a Walmart shareholder most likely. The kind of behavior described is despicable, and you can only make Walmart a better company by helping them to get rid of those that don't deserve the job they are getting paid for. Jobs don't belong to anyone. Sounds like this guy should lose the privilege of his.

Someone mentioned this episode of Seinfeld to me today, and I immediately thought of this thread:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki6u2wcqt6A]YouTube - spite![/ame]

(It's the scene from "The Wig Master" where Jerry attempts to return a jacket for spite, for you people of the future that have stumbled across this thread after the mighty interwebs and their army of copyright lawyers have removed the video)

unfortunately not everyone is happy in there job the box being opened a bit was call for concern what with people just buying games burning them then getting a refund.
but as you described on closer inspection there was no way you could get the game out

maybe if you took the receipt with you things may have been different. as for the attitude not acceptable at all as far as ringing a hot line go for it if you want if you think it will make a difference But as far as a lawyer goes fair dinkum mate seriously it was just a small spat at a shopping centre get over it move on

settle it like they used to before everyone got sue happy, walk up to him and punch him in the face! just kidding obviously but yeah i definitely wouldn't let that slide, one thing ive learned is that with a-holes like this, as soon as you go higher up and he gets chewed out, its almost more worth it than to get him fired. I had a similar experience at Wal-mart, went to return a game id bought not 15 minutes earlier because i got to the car and realized i bought it for the ps3 rather than my xbox360, went to return it to the guy that id just bought it from and everything was going fine until the electronics manager/supervisor came over and said that it was ripped and we couldnt take it (the cashier was already getting my 360 game in exchange at this point, i told him theres no way i could have played the game, showed him my receipt showing i bought it 15 minutes earlier, he told me that i was full of **** and that i'd better leave before he had me "escorted out". so i left on my own, pissed but keeping my cool, i called the regional manager and he said "are you still close? we'll have a sit down with him and figure out what happened" i was close so i went and i met him at the CS desk, we sat down (RM the jackass manager and me) and had a talk, the manager asked the guy what happened and he basically told him a load of crap that i was threatening him etc (lies). i said, listen all i wanted to do was exchange a ps3 game for the equivalent 360 game. the guy i had issues with said that i was trying to return a game with ripped plastic. i showed the regional manager where the rip was (front and center about 1 inch long), and showed him my receipt showing id bought it (now 45 minutes) earlier. the regional manager looked at me, looked at the electronics manager and asked me if i could excuse them, i said glady. and hung outside the door and heard the chewing out the guy got. afterwards i was hanging around the electronics and the guy that pissed me off came up to me with the RM and the RM said, "so and so would be happy to exchange your game and as an apology from management we'd like to give you an extra 360 game free of charge" i was like cool, so he had the guy who caused a fuss in the first place exchange my game and get the other one, after the RM had left it really was kinda sad/pathetic how much the electronics manager was kissing arse. but either way i guess im satisfied, got to hear a nice chewing out, got a free game and had a prick kiss arse. anyways i hope it works out as well for you, it really is sickening how un professional some people can be and think its ok, any other job you'd get fired... i hope your culprit gets nothing less :) good luck !
