Real white is bout 5000-5500k. 6K is sometimes also called iron white.

8K is slightly blue. Where 10k is a real blue color. I think 10K would match your leds.

Cheap white leds are mostly 7k-8k color. They sometimes call it cool white. But its not white!. Blue leds are 10k+

The stock bulbs are like 3k2. I now have blue vision they are at 4K. Its a nice improvement. I hate blue so i went for 6K. Thats why i love the speedo of my S2 so much!!! no more blue!!!.


About visibility. 4K5 would be better then 6K but 3k5 is has even more light output and will cut better trough fog.

2: Second question: How did you guy's stick all the boxes against the cowl. Like the ballast, relay and the controller. Will industrial dual sided tape work? I used dual sided tape in my car (inside the unit) but it got to hot and the relay came down again.

I dont want that to happen to the bike. In the car i made a support brace but then i have to drill in the cowl and that will look ugly on the outside so i dont want to do that.

Do you guy's have a good mounting tip for me?

Thanks for the picture. You have a big ballast where i have the slim versions. But you also have a 05 model. Thats the S1 cowl. I think it has a bit more space then my S2. But I'll see if i can reproduce something like that.

Thanks,yes it is very solid.I used a large ballast on that side because I already had one , on the other I used a slim because my Stebel takes a lot of space.

I'm the same way. I'm going to order then and then hopefully do the entire thing when I have one day off of work. I'm hoping I can get it all done in 8 hours - take the bike apart, crack the headlight open with the help of my trusty 20 year old oven, get the stuff set up inside, and then head outside and do all of the wiring and mounting on the bike while the headlight sits to reseal. Should be easily doable in one day if I'm prepared, right? I hope so, because if not I'm screwed! No car, only the bike, so if the bike is out of commission then I'm stuck at home

It will likely take more than 8hrs but we did mine in 1 day. 13 hours start to finish.

Mine only took about 4 hours start to finish. Hardest part is getting all that crap to fit in the fairing. But I found that if you take off the big inner cowling piece in the center you can stuff a bunch of stuff in there like the extra wire and the controllers and then just zip tie them so they don't fall out and when you put the cowling back on, Voila!

I plan to unplug every electronic device I own during the process or else I will bounce back and forth between ps3, xbox, wii, movies, and cable television for the first 6 hours.

It is $126 with free shipping, making it about $20 less than the other one for what looks to be the same thing. Any opinions on this? Look like a good deal?

I looked at some of the other kits and found them all to be about the same and since I wanted yellow angel eyes (that the cheaper guys were charging $15 extra for) I decided to stick with the HID projectors that I knew were okay. Also, it seems like the ones that I purchased have a premium shipping service, instead of the normal Hong Kong Posts / USPS delivery. (I'll tell you when I get them....)

I did notice that some of the other sellers with the cheaper kits had really cool, super small, slim looking ballasts (if the pictures are to be believed).

I'm gonna delay the installation of the HIDs for a few weeks. I need the bike this week. And next week i'm on holiday. I will be installing new Rizoma Turn signals this week.

I still need to figure out where to leave all the wires and boxes.

My box from China arrived today

My box from Kassabian9898 arrived today from China via FedEx. Sweet! I ordered last Tuesday and received them today (Monday). That's the fastest that I ever got anything from China.

I didn't open them the box yet, but will do so later today.

I plan to install them this week.

Well, I opened the box and I don't think I'll have any problem wiring them, since it includes a complete fused harness with battery connection ring terminals, and a H4 headlight connector. I just need to decide where to tap in power for my angel eyes. I've even entertained thoughts of not connecting the angel eyes, to save the space from the two extra converters that they require. Can one see the angel eyes with the HIDs on?

Looks like my projectors are indeed generic ones, with different "adapter" rings included for H1, H7 and 9005/9006. I did not get separate adapter rings labeled for H4, so I'm going to ASSume that the rings already on the projectors are the H4 ones. Trying to decipher the changlish instructions don't make it clear, but they do show "orientation loops" for H4 and H7 and the ones already on the projectors match the picture of the H4 one.

I have a question why would you need and h4 h7 if the bi xenon does the high and low beam for you or Im missing something here.
would it fry the electronics using 2x h7 or h4 bi xenons.
or this is only when you do the dual light mod.

The reason doesn't have anything to do with electronics but, rather, the size of the mounting hole in the reflector of the headlight housing.
