Anybody going to see Kid Rock???

Kid Rock will be 30 miles from my house on September 19, but I can't afford $400 for one ticket (they're all sold out anyways).

I see he's playing all over, anybody going to see him?

Four HUNDRED dollars? I wouldn't pay $400 to see The Doors perform, with all the original members.

Saw him at a free show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in San Antonio about 4 years ago.. he was so wasted and high he couldn't remember the words to some songs. Good thing it was free.

$400 is not what I'd pay to see him. I like his music but not THAT much! My sister would pay that though! She's been to see him and had back stage passes with pics! :steve:

I remembered when he was an opening act, well kind of. He was one of the major acts on the bill when I was out with Metallica working out on the Sanitarium tours back in the glory days.

So is he playing in some type of weird venue? I say that because I can't think of a concert venue near Salton City, except for the casino's or maybe that field out in Indio.

I've done a show at Spotlight 29 Casino before. I remembered it well because I remembered waking up early in the morning and got out of our tour bus and walked inside to get some coffee. The Mcdonalds inside wasn't open yet, so I sat down at the blackjack table and ordered coffee. At one point I was up $4500, but ended up pissing most of it back but still managed to win like $1800.

As far as the band from Metallica, doing two stadium tours with them, yes I have met them, but only dealing with gig related issues in their dressing room. Not like I went out and partied with them like with some other bands I worked for. I'll try to post some pics for ya, but I may have to scan the pics, I don't have it on a disk.
