Hello, I just bought a 2005 fz6 with 42K miles for $450 from the original owner not salvage and with service records up to 35K. And I have a two part question.

1. What should I service on the bike or check out basically schedule maintenance to make sure that the bike keeps starting up and running properly around the mileage its at.

2. Bike problems

Leaky right fork , its not bent so im assuming its the fork seals? Is this a common problem?

The steering is stiff. Any advice on this?

Thank you in advance!!

Aaron

:welcome:to this awesome forum!

You've purchased one of the mos,t if not the most, reliable bikes ever made!

Your head bearings may be overtightened or in need of replacement. Your fork tube is a good reason to get new seals and fork tube oil. While you've got the forks open, maybe replace the OEM springs with aftermarket Racetech springs made for your weight. :)

A lot of members here will have great recommendations that you can filter against/through your service records etc.
