I have to agree. I had my heart set on an ER6N until I started riding them. In my opinion, the ER6N felt cheap and uninspiring not to mention sounding like a crappy fourstroke trailbike with the inline twin. The FZ is so much more bike and I can also definitely say that I would have outgrown the...
HIDs used without a projector ie bulb replacement is illegal and very easy to spot as the light is uncontrolled and blinding to oncoming traffic. If you want HID, and I wouldn't blame you, make sure you do it properly and fit a projector. I am not sure on the laws for motorbikes but once fitted...
Re: How to Safely, and VERY easily clean and lube your chain
I use one of these. It cleans the chain thoroughly without any mess or fuss. I have the basic one without the bag so I just have a beer and use the empty :D

It is in the instruction manual.
It goes out after 24hrs (not sure how accurate timer is) to conserve battery however rest assured the immobiliser is still active.
I have been using the Motul Wash & Wax in a can and I am quite impressed with the results.
I spray everything from the tank to the engine block, exhaust headers, brake calipers the lot and it lifts all the bugs, road grime, chain lube etc and leaves it gleaming with a wax coat that keeps it...
Has anyone found a good way to secure pick up knobs for a race stand on the rear end. The universal pickups work but dont have confidence to leave it on there.
Mine is an 08 with the updated rear end. I was thinking about tapping & threading holes at the front of the alloy block welded onto...
Wolfman, So who should I see if I want to do this? I take it $350 looks after the front. What would I want to look at doing for the rear and expected $$?
What weight oil is everyone using?
I thought the correct weight was 10w40 but when I called my dealer to ask what weigh 5100 they chuck in my bike they said 10w50.
Also what is the likely difference between these two weights?
