Has anyone found a good way to secure pick up knobs for a race stand on the rear end. The universal pickups work but dont have confidence to leave it on there.

Mine is an 08 with the updated rear end. I was thinking about tapping & threading holes at the front of the alloy block welded onto end of the swingarm where the axle bolts up.

What do people think?

Cheers Wolf. You.. are an ideas man:thumbup:

Any tips on actually doing from your experience?

What size bobbins did you use? 6, 8 or 10mm?

I used the smallest ones i could find...from memory, and i cant check, cause the bike is at my workshop, mine are 6mm, took about five minutes with the tap and dye set to sort out the threads....

the swingarm is hollow, and there is nothing inside that is going to cause any concern, when tapping into the swingarm...

Best thing i eve did re putting the bike on a race stand...cause those rubber pick up's that dont require "bobbins" are a PITA...bike just slips further and further forward on them...especially if you are washing it!

Hope that helps.
