    Need some cool overpants

I also have the pants from Olympia. They're surprisingly comfortable in the warm weather without the liner.

I filled my tires with Nitrogen

I run my car tires on Nitrogen. Problem on the bike would be that I do 2 up riding as well as solo and constantly change tire pressure based on these weight changes. You cant easily do that with Nitrogen...

    Pazzo's

I voted maybe becasue I can't see paying $175, or even $150 for this mod. If we can get enough people together to get ANY of the better after market levers for ~$100, I'm in.

Got my first pull over this weekend.

Actually, he caught you at 15mph over the limit. Had he clocked at 67mph, it might have been a different story. Spedo error is a good thing :P.

Where do you have your pre-load set?

The indicator is located at 9:00 inside the little slot where you put the wrench; it's hard to see, but it's there. it visible at a precise angle. I've got 50 year old eyes, so If I can see it...

NY to KY in September - dumb idea?

Not knowing some of your personal facts, here's my take based on some recent experience: I'm 50 and in excellent physical shape. I did a two day tour last month totaling 450 miles; it was my first tour. I can't see myself doing 500 miles/day (at least on an FZ6). Though there was some...

taking NJ motorcycle road test friday, need advice! thanks

Since the FZ6 has a touchy throttle, particularly in 1st gear - wouldn't it be a tough bike to pass a test with a lot of low speed twists and turns???

    Cortech or Joe Rocket?

I voted for the Manta, because that is what I have. It seems to work quite well, and holds more than I thought it would. One thing I would change is to do away with the dedicated phone holder and replace it with a small map case, but that's just me. Otherwise, a really nice case and matches my...

How much have you spent servicing your bike at the dealership?

I guess I'm one of the few who don't do it myself. I know it's a good idea; you can save money and learn more about your bike. But, I have no place to work on it, lost all my tools in my divorce, I'm not that mechanically inclined and want it done right, lol!

    Fear after the Wreck

You're not supposed to break in a turn. Your speed should be down prior to a turn, then rool on throttle to load the suspension, which will make your turn and contol much better. Breaking does the opposite.

Where do you have your pre-load set?

Yes. Try it. Set it at a 1 or 2 and go for a ride. Then ratchet it up; you'll feel a difference in handling and over bumps.

Where do you have your pre-load set?

Do you still have your manual? There is an indicator that can be seen through the notch settings. You have to look at a certain angle to see it, but it's there. I just went on a two up tour (260 miles, round trip) and had the preoad set to 5, which seemed to work. I weigh 170 and my girl...

I was going to wear a camelback, but didn't - should have. Unfortunately, avoiding multilane is tough in my area, but it's a great tip. thanks!
