FZ1 all the way. The added comfort more than makes up for the lack of overall power, especially when it's just not needed 90 percent of the time. And, check with your insurance agent, that may certainly be the deciding factor!
Whats with the low mid high buttons on the pc3, and how do you use em when the module is on the bike? Can you use em to adjust? I haven't found anything on em in the instructions.
Yes, the MIVV cat eliminator pipe will work, and it's an excellent piece, as is their whole system. Watch it with your new pipes, though, you may want to temporarily install the pipes with the stock cat pipe intact, you may find thats plenty loud enough for you. I installed the MIVV carbon fiber...
I second that. We have a midnite run out here in MI, and we ride from the bottom to the top of the state, stopping here and there for gas and the like. We ride up to St Ignace, by way of the Mackinac Bridge. Funny, as you get closer to the final destination, more and more harley riders join the...
First off, WAY TO GO! I commend you for wrenching on your first bike, as well as making a good choice! I'm not firmiliar with those pipes, but maybe your Y pipe that they sent you isn't correct, meaning isn't bent properly? I'm just making a wild guess here, because everything usually goes...
Yes, a great article that any noobie to the motorcycling community should fully read. The new ninja 250 would be an EXCELLENT choice for a beginner, and heck, even a novice! They're so much fun to ride, light and neutral handling. Bikes have come so unbelievably far in the last few years, that...
You can download a map from their site that lists ANY aftermarket cans, as long as the rest of the mods match. Slip-ons of any kind, but with stock air filter and air box is what you want, if thats all you have. I just installed MIVV carbon fiber pipes in Monica's 07, along with a K&N air...
Absolutely. As a matter of fact, I just installed one on my girlfriends bike LAST NITE. I did install a set of MIVV carbon fiber pipes, I modified the airbox (just opened up the air inlet a bit), a K&N air filter, oh, and I gutted the cat pipe. Even stock tho, the power commander will liven the...
Dang buddy, that sucks. Coulda been worse though. At least you're intelligent enough to ask for help. I once watched a guy load his bike onto a wooden pallet, just put the kickstand down and park it on there for the time being, and then GRAB A LIFT TRUCK AND ATTEMPT TO LIFT IT ALL LIKE THAT INTO...
Re: I put Amsoil 10w40 in my FZ6 and it's a miracle...
Silver05 is exactly right- use motorcycle oil, whether synthetic or regular. I use synthetic in everything I own, from Mobile 1 in my PT cruiser to Amsoil in my V-max, ZZR1200, and 68 GTO, as well as Monica's FZ-6, and from much experience...
It's like a rollcage, in case you do a stoppie, and ya go too far, it'll just roll you right over, back onto your wheels, and you take off! Lets all pitch in and buy one, and we'll mount it on someone's bike and try it. If it doesn't work and the rider gets injured, we'll file a class action...
