    Where to buy OEM mirror?

You can always get OEM parts from a Yamaha dealer/repair shop. If you search the forum you might be able to find a used one for sale. There is a whole sub-section of the forum dedicated to parts for sale. You can also pick up OEM parts at lower than MSRP at sites like partzilla.com

Top 10 ways to get noticed on a motorcycle

At the end of the second paragraph of the article it says, "For fun, we’ve tossed in a couple red herrings. So, pay attention, and remember, there is a test later – out on the mean streets." It's pretty sad that they never actually mention which ones are a joke and which ones are serious.:spank:

Motorcycle, cell phone, GPS and me (google maps question)

I plan routes all the time on google maps dragging and dropping the pins to force the route where I want to go. Then I e-mail the link to myself and when I open it on my phone through the google maps app, it is exactly the way I laid it out. I am unable to alter the route from my phone...

Has anyone installed fZ1 handlebars themselves?

I just replaced mine yesterday, about an hour after you posted. As the others have stated there are several instructions and guides out there. If you have something specific I can answer while it's fresh in my mind, let me know.

    Show me your chicken strips

A member was selling some inserts for the stock pegs as well as completely new pegs (link below). Although I think he hasn't been selling them for a few years, you might be able to track some down. Also, throughout the thread people mentioned other commercially available alternatives. There are...

    Yamihoe decides to wander...

Hey I am from Mechanicsburg/Harrisburg area, I'd love to meet up sometime if you are in the area this summer. I recently graduated (May 2014), and got a job related to my major, Mechanical Engineering. So while the job market may not be great there is at least one success story. On...

    Seat wiggles. Is this normal?

If I remember correctly, you do have to remove the windscreen. I believe the screw holding the 'nose' of the windscreen coming up from the bottom of the fairing assembly holds the outer fairing in place. The front fairing assembly is fairly easy to disassemble and it never hurts to learn in case...

How do Top Gear get away with it?

I understand the rugby field and most of their destruction, but what I find strange is when I see them ruin people's days and hit cars just for the sake of a good laugh. The Hovervan episode comes to mind. I have no doubt that they pay or have insurance that pays for the damage they cause, but...

August 16-18, 2013 - Skyline Dr, Blue Ridge Pkwy, and West VA

Thanks! I definitely am using it as a learning opportunity. After I got bike up and checked out I sat down for 30 mins thinking about how I could have done differently. Still, was a bit on edge for the ride home. I came to the conclusion that I should no longer do burnouts every time I leave...

Funny you should mention tires. I planned on getting new rubber before the trip, but wanted to use the most out of a not yet done set before the trip. So earlier tonight I got a new set fitted and inspection done. Well, pulling out of the lot I took my first pavement spill.:( Nothing bad at all...

I sent a PM to DavidG-757 about hotel rooms. Waiting to hear back. As of now, I am still on my own. I too am OK with another rider, but our leader and all around bossy guy, BamBam must weigh in.:BLAA:

Pennsylvania's MSF Advanced Riders Course (ARC)

If it happens again I suggest mentioning it to the instructors and let them know that you will be leaving if things don't shape up. I plan to take the ARC here in Harrisburg later this season or possibly next year. If I get stuck with a bunch of in-experienced show offs I will just say something...

    Will my battery drain?

Never hurts to put it on a trickle charger, but if you don't have one 2 weeks should no problem at all. Worst case scenario you might have to jump start or something, but that is unlikely unless you have a bad battery. I found out earlier today one thing that does drain your battery fast is...

Ear plugs or no ear plugs that is the question?

I started wearing ear plugs recently. I will say it does diminish road noise greatly, and I think it does impair your hearing a bit as far as useful sounds. The difference is that now at highway speeds I can hear something other than wind. So I've decided that if I'm not on the highway I don't...

BTW, I forgot to respond earlier. I do have a 6ft cable for locking. Might be long enough for all the bikes. I have a padlock as well. Just 1 week to go!

    Guess where this Goes!!!

I actually have a summer internship with a company who designs and builds the assembly and packaging portion and purchase the feeder bowl. They make tons of little connectors for just about every thing from cars to washing machines. Anyway, you're up.

    Guess where this Goes!!!

Well then, that took all of 45 minutes. Yup you nailed it. Guess I'll have to try a bit harder next time. I find it really interesting, the whole bowl vibrates. Well, sort of vibration. It shakes it clockwise quickly then counter clockwise slowly over and over till the plastic connectors...
