It's a single - one big ol' 660 cylinder. I've had some 650 singles, and this one feels grunt-ier than any of those - maybe because it's a quad engine (from the 660 Raptor). It's an MZ Skorpion Tour.
They sell what the US public will buy. They saw the Ninja 250R selling for way over MSRP, and thought, 'Hey, we can wrap a cheap steel-frame bike in garish plastic, too!'
Too bad - I liked the 600cc. Plenty for the street, good on insurance (my company goes strictly by displacement).
I did recently pick up a bike powered by a Yamaha Raptor engine (the 660cc carbed one) - a bit of a different animal than the FZ!
Givi bags on the standard Givi mounts. You can fit the E21s for regular use, or something bigger for everything-including-the-hairdryer. The E21s were as much as I needed for daily use and the odd camping trip. They're no wider than the handlebars, so they're good for lanesharing.
5'1". One foot down at stops (shifting a cheek off if necessary), other foot on peg (right foot on rear brake helps with stability). Much more stable than trying to tippytoe, and I've never had a problem with any bike that was 'too tall' for me.
Even the DR-Z I took out for the little...
One crime at a time. If I'm on a bike with a loud exhaust, non-stock lighting, or something else that draws attention, I keep the speed down. That's why I like stock-looking bikes (especially stock plate location and turn signals), and why I kept the stock pipes on my FZ6. I could act up a...
I had speed bleeders on my Miata, which saved me having to bribe a friend to help out, but on my motos - even with my short stubby arms, I never had trouble reaching the wrench on the bleeder and the brake lever at the same time.
The one tool that I do have for bleeding is a plastic syringe...
If you have over-boot waterproof pants, I've found that they work well with keeping the water out of non-waterproof boots. I'm completely with you; waterproof and protective don't seem to go together where boots are concerned.
(BTW, I'm selling a waterproof one-piece in Nor-cal. :) )
The R6S is basically just the '03-'04 R6 rebranded. It's Very Clever Use Of Existing Tooling on the part of Yamaha. If you're looking for a good track bike, one of those that has been dropped a few times is a good choice, but I'd skip it if you're wanting a street bike and it's 'just a good...
Is it that motorcycles cause erectile dysfunction, or that guys with erectile dysfunction have nothing better to do and think, "Screw it, I'll get a moto"?
I've tried to get my hubby to pose with my bikes, but he always has to goof around. (Not quite his size, my bikes.)
I've posed with his bikes, but they're not my size.
Ah well, they're not ideal props.
If you want to do it properly, it'd probably be easier to trade in your bike for a newer one with the black bits.
Even doing it half-arsed with the engine in place with high-temp rattlecan is going to take a fair bit of cleaning of metal and removing of hoses and taping off of frame and...
