Want to hear your opinions:
I'm considering letting the FZ6 go and try something else. The top end rush of the 6 is awesome, but how often do you get to actually give it the stick on our roads? I've hit triple digit speeds once since I've had it. To me the 6 doesn't like to be ridden slow, and...
I was just out in the shed tonight and I looked at the bottle of Rotella T6 5w 40 and realized it says Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil. I changed the oil in the summer and have put maybe 700 miles on the bike since. It runs fine, but have I done any internal damage using the wrong oil?
Thanks

A balding, white haired man from Naples, Florida ,walked into a jewelry store this past Friday eveningwith a beautiful much younger gal at his side.
He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock...
Thanks SweaterDude, that's what I was looking for.
I spend $65 in parts and it took me a couple hours going really slow.
Guess it was time well spent. I'll keep doing it myself then.
No offence taken. No shops are open around here this late on a Saturday. Just spent half the day doing it all myself, and wanted to see if it was worth it.
I'm the second owner of my '08. The only modifications i know of is that the previous owner drilled out the stock exhaust.
When i cold start the bike the idle is lumpy for a minute or two then it smoothes out. The bike runs great otherwise. Is this normal?
I tried to reset the ECU by...
Thanks for the input. Glad to know i'm not the only one. Been toying with the idea of trying 1" up x 1" back barbacks but i'm not sure if i would have enough play in the cables to turn the handlebars lock to lock without issues.
I'm the second owner of my '08. I've been looking at the handlebars and i wonder if the previous owner had twisted it back a little. After riding for just an hour or so, my wrists hurt. Look at the pic and let me know what you think.
Back in Jamaica (where i'm from) we import some pretty cool JDM cars. My favourite was a 1991 Toyota Corolla Levin Supercharged. Pretty fast car for the price. Some guys even added a turbocharger to make it twin-charged.
+1. Diesel engines are a whole different beast. I'm not in favour of doing anything to impact the proper cooling of your motorcycle engine. A few more mpgs can be had by changing your riding technique (if you're not already doing that) - shift a little earlier, use the throttle a little less...
I'm one of a couple managers in the Engineering and Operations department for a large Electric Cooperative. Been working in the manager position for a few months, and it's been interesting. I've gone from 'complaining about the man' to 'being the man'
I haven't yet changed the oil in the FZ since i bought it, and never did ask the PO what weight oil he used.
Anyhow, i find that the gearbox shifts supersmooth on cold mornings when i'm riding to work (50+ degrees), then it does the usual clunky shifting in the afternoon when its warmer...
