    Rack and back box

I lash a pelican to the pillion seat and stuff things in it's beak. Smells a bit fishy, but it's waterproof.

    Fazer 600 09' Baffle removal?

No you wouldn't. The stock can isn't marked Not For Road Use, and provided the tester doesn't think it unreasonably loud (know any bike-friendly test stations?) it'll pass

Top Gear USA is coming to British screens

Saw the last 15 minutes of the Lambo one.... probably won't watch the others, the presenters may as well have been cardboard cut-outs. The US circuit was surprisingly fiddly and 'budget' looking, I was expecting something far simpler and bigger, I think that goes in it's favour though.

    100,000!

Yep, gas is what we release under the duvet to drive the Missus out of bed with :-)

Top Gear USA is coming to British screens

No, we already have enough  :justkidding: I'd be interested to see the US version, find out how it compares. Good to see some different cars getting abused as well. Is there a Stig on the US show, or does that kind of humour not translate well to American TV?

    100,000!

Thanks for the response, four pages!! Wasn't expecting anything like that  This is her second Fazer. Her annual mileage has actually dropped, on her first FZ6 Fazer (her first bike ever) she did 36,000 miles in a year and a week before she crashed it and wrote it off on a big UK Fazer...

    100,000!

The Missus rolled over 100,000 miles last Friday evening on her FZ6 Fazer which she bought new in June 2005. It's a bit tatty, but still runs fine, so we took great pleasure in thrashing the pants off it round some local back roads this afternoon

    Diag / Co ???

Thanks guys, it's a bit beyond my bike knowledge all this diagnostic computer stuff. I did find the problem in the end. Debz got her service manual out and traced the issue back to the cut off relay. I had a look at it and noticed one of the crimps had come loose from the connector. Turns out...

    Diag / Co ???

We're trying to find out why the Missus Fazer keeps cutting out. It was at our local shop for repairs recently and they said it was a wiring issue (the bike has done just over 90,000 miles!). They claim to have fixed it, but the problem is back. She was doing an oil change this morning and...

    Bike Damage

Did you have anything in writing about being able to use the garage? If not it may just be their word against yours if it goes to court. That quote sounds like a replace rather than repair cost, a few scratches shouldn't cost more than a couple of hundred quid to professionally repair. I reckon...

Yam belly pan and leaky sumps

Ah now. I did think about that, but surely the oil that dribbles into the hole as soon as the bolt is undone would stop the loctite working? I guess the next oil change would be the logical time to do it so the holes can be cleaned out while the sump's empty.

Yam belly pan and leaky sumps

On my Missus' '05 Fazer, it seems the official Yamaha bellypan brackets vibrating will gradually loosen the sump bolts that hold the brackets on, anyone else found this? If you've fitted the Yam bellypan and have since discovered a coating of fresh oil under your engine this is probably what...

No takers? Blimey, incredibly easy to fit, very effective, these normally sell really well.

You could probably halve those prices for pattern parts, but still... holy crap! And a new master cylinder as well!

    UK Tyres

The missus has stuck with the Bridgestone BT020gg for years, only recently changing to the Avon Storms as she heard they have a harder centre section (she commutes along the M4 from Newbury to central London and back every day). She's quite pleased with them so far, but has only done a few...

    A trip in the UK

Not just getting cold and wet, good riding kit will help there, but the roads get slippery with mud and leaves, visibility is often poor so other drivers often do not see you and our roads are VERY busy, always cars everywhere. Not so bad for us, we are used to it, but all of that together can...
