Thanks for the response, four pages!! Wasn't expecting anything like that :rockon: This is her second Fazer. Her annual mileage has actually dropped, on her first FZ6 Fazer (her first bike ever) she did 36,000 miles in a year and a week before she crashed it and wrote it off on a big UK Fazer...

The Missus rolled over 100,000 miles last Friday evening on her FZ6 Fazer which she bought new in June 2005. It's a bit tatty, but still runs fine, so we took great pleasure in thrashing the pants off it round some local back roads this afternoon :thumbup:

Did you have anything in writing about being able to use the garage? If not it may just be their word against yours if it goes to court. That quote sounds like a replace rather than repair cost, a few scratches shouldn't cost more than a couple of hundred quid to professionally repair. I reckon...

Ah now. I did think about that, but surely the oil that dribbles into the hole as soon as the bolt is undone would stop the loctite working? I guess the next oil change would be the logical time to do it so the holes can be cleaned out while the sump's empty.
