I bought some nice cheap black ones similar to that on Ebay. It basically looks like weed-proof membrane, that's been doubled over, hemmed and had velcro attached. They do custom sizes too for no extra cost. They were very cheap - a few quid each. I've had one on my ugly purple shock for a year and it's done fine.

I can't see them on Ebay any more, but they could be made damn cheap with bits from Wickes etc.
