There are cheaper, but from what I heard there are problem like strength, locking mechanisms and leaking in the rain. I use a Givi E46 top box and a tank bag. Works great for me.

Good for you, there is no way the paint should be coming off after a week. There is an obvious defect here and they need to make it right. Tell them to re-paint it properly or refund your money and take the bike back.

Check out the company All Balls, they are supposed to have a very good set of replacement bearings. the run around $35.00 and you should be able to get a shop to install, if unable to do the work yourself. Personally I will be buying a set just to make sure I have them if needed and if not...
