Anyone know how to remove/reinstall headlight assembly lens?

Hi, I have a 2006 FZ6 and would like to make some mods that would require, or at least be much easier, if the headlight lens could be removed and reinstalled. Anyone run across any links or actually do this on an FZ6? Is there a heat sensitive sealant that would respond to a heat gun etc...

    dropped my new bike :-(

Really glad you are OK, given the traffic and all. I've been ridding since the sixties and have found a lot of different ways to do that. With my FZ6, I pulled out of the garage onto the gravel dive and started lifting my foot onto the pegs. Just then my riding suit chose to snag the foot rest...

    FZ6 Headlight Module Matches?

Since the basic structure of the FZ6 headlight module has unused features that occure on other models (pod light, adjustment bolts?), does anyone know what other bikes might use the same basic plastic molding. I wondered about the R1, R6, FZ1 etc. since for some parts, these are listed along...

    Accessory Driving/Fog Lights

You might try a volt/amp reduction circuit. It really drops the load on your rectifier but only drops light output by about 25%. It might give you the extra light you need, Electrical Connection in Knoxville TN has them and I'm sure there are other sources. Volt/Amp Reduction Circuit

Where to buy R1 pod light holders for mod?

I know this is a bit off the specific subject but if you are considering the wiring harness for the headlight mod and don't want to make the male connector; the connector on the R1 Socket from bikebandit.com has a male connector that appeared to be the same as the male connectors used for the...

    Tubing For Headlight Mod????

I know this is a bit off the specific subject but if you are considering the wiring harness for the headlight mod and don't want to make the male connector, it could help a lot. I wanted to also add the pod lights at the same time and ordered the R1 Socket from bikebandit.com. Since I didn't...

    Headlights and visibility questions

Yes but I am still getting materials together, also looking into a heaglight from Europe so it will take a regular H4 and the reflector will be designed for the H4 High/Low buld.

    Dual Headlights - a note

I've had the same thought as it would eliminate the need to do the H4 mod to fit the H7 socket for the US bikes. It would also make the low beam more effective as the current left side reflector does not throw a proper beam. I've been trying to find a way to get a left headlight (lens &...

    New member welcome thread..

My Grandmother Randall had a geneology made but she didn't like what she got and no one else ever got a chance to read it, so I don't know where our branch of the Randall's started. My grandparents lived in Michigan and there were lots of Randallsn not so as I moved futher south.

    New member welcome thread..

Hi, I live in Dandridge TN. I have a 2006 FZ6 and it is red but I don't know if it is slow or not, I know I am :) I've been riding since the sixties so lots of different bikes. I am now 68 so I know the bike is fast enough to scare me and that's all I need to know. I really am the BugMan...
