I've thought about the z1000 as a second bike. A guy at the dealer said that nakeds are no fun on the highway though due to lack of wind protection. I like the FZ8 look more than the 9.

I have an 09 and am near my 8000 mile interval. Can anyone please tell me if the spark plugs need to be changed at this mark. The Manuel says to change them but my mechanic says if they are iridium or NGK they do not need to be changed due to their long life. Thanks.

10,000 mi seems like a lot. I just got a pair of Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S20's after getting a nail in my rear tire which was the OEM Bridgestone BT20 that I put about 6500 mi on. Mechanic said he wouldn't fix the patch as the tire was too worn. I love the S20's!
