Yeah, I'm not much of an "owner's manual" kind of guy. I'm a very visual learner -- can't grasp mechanical stuff without actually seeing it or going step by step. I found the owner's manual left me with more questions than answers.
Of course, it all makes sense once you've done it, though...
I'm about to adjust mine for the first time and, before I feck something up spectacularly, I tried searching for a good "how to". Well, I can't find one. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or post up some good instructions about what to do?
Thanks,
Ed
Sounds like you really have to work hard to blow it on that curve. Unless he had help. Any idea what happened?
*Never mind -- I just read the story. Looks like he definitely had it coming. Saved the tax payers some money, too, by checking himself out of the gene pool.
Glad it wasn't...
It's a bit too gay for me. If that's your thing, then fine...but you're gonna get noticed. If it's not your thing and you don't want the attention, then call the dood a cab.

In no particular order:
- Pygmy monkeys wielding feather dusters.
- Female bodybuilders who use the "men's" room.
- High altitude EMP burst.
- Zombies.
- Running out of ammo.
- Liberals.
Sounds like he had this coming. He's very lucky to still be alive. And, yes, God does have a soft spot for idiots...I'm still around. No idea how I survived my younger days, but hopefully this moron will find a few extra brain cells and live to do the same.

Wow -- in the blink of an eye, huh? I really have so much to learn about riding these things. What kind of tires do you have and do you think they contributed to your loss of control?
Good to hear the damage to both you and the bike is minimal.
Ed
I'm averaging between 48-52. I weigh 220 and the bike has about 1800 miles on it. I commute everyday about 24 miles, most of it highway, and I ride pretty conservatively -- except when trying to race home to avoid getting caught in one of our notorious summer storms.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a bike for a few years and even had the wife's blessing. I was initially looking at the V-Strom, too, but the seat height didn't quite work for me. The on-again, off-again consideration of buying a bike finally made sense this year when gas prices made...
If you follow them to get their plate number you better be packing. If the driver of the vehicle intentionally tried to run you off the road you have no idea what they are capable of doing. You have every right to defend yourself if you feel your life is in danger (at least you do in the US)...
