    Heated Grips

I have the Oxford's as well - have four heat settings, work pretty well. The "automatic cutoff" does NOT work :-P

Do you keep a mental note of what gear you're in??

I used to always forget that I had a sixth gear (driving 5 speed manuals all my life) so I got in the habit on the highway of going "Oh yeah..." and clicking it up into sixth. So now I keep forgetting that I learned I have six gears and trying to click it up into sixth when I'm already there...

Show us your FZ6 in Touring mode!

FZ6 set up for a 1,200 mile weekend camping trip from PA to Mount Washington, NH. Unfortunately, I had torn my backpacking tent (it was ancient) so I was packing along the giant Coleman 4-man tent... This guy we met on Mt Washington knew how to pack a tank bag!

    Need New Rear Tire??

Oh, right, contributing to the thread... I have PR3s front and rear, the rear has about 2,500 miles and the front has probably 3,000-3,500 (started tracking these things after I replaced the front...). I also ride rain/shine, mostly commuting, though I don't have hardly any freeway riding...

Of COURSE I forgot to paste the link... Yamaha Motorcycle Parts 2004 FZ6 - FZ600SSC REAR ARM Diagram Also, I compared to the '09 diagram and the part number looks the same, so "theoretically" they SHOULD be interchangeable!

    Mounting DDMTuning ballasts

Just as an update, I used those zip tie mounts that I posted up earlier and initially had attached them using hot glue. Well, that only lasted ~1,500 miles, which may be a function of the fact that it was cold as **** here - the glue just popped off the inner fairing. Since then I've reattached...

    Best Insurance?

I'm through Progressive (and am USAA member), 26, married no kids, rent my place and I'm paying $18/month for full coverage. Had an incident a few years back when I lived outside Philly - someone knocked over my bike in the middle of the night and of course didn't stick around (probably tried...
