I used to always forget that I had a sixth gear (driving 5 speed manuals all my life) so I got in the habit on the highway of going "Oh yeah..." and clicking it up into sixth. So now I keep forgetting that I learned I have six gears and trying to click it up into sixth when I'm already there...
FZ6 set up for a 1,200 mile weekend camping trip from PA to Mount Washington, NH. Unfortunately, I had torn my backpacking tent (it was ancient) so I was packing along the giant Coleman 4-man tent...
This guy we met on Mt Washington knew how to pack a tank bag!
Oh, right, contributing to the thread...
I have PR3s front and rear, the rear has about 2,500 miles and the front has probably 3,000-3,500 (started tracking these things after I replaced the front...). I also ride rain/shine, mostly commuting, though I don't have hardly any freeway riding...
Re: fz6 knoking sound
If you only hear it while you're riding and not while it's just idling make sure it's not your drive chain that needs some love first

Was easy to deal with via PM, sent me tracking information the first business day after I sent him money via PayPal and I received my package well wrapped and as described. Money sent Saturday, package sent and tracking info received Monday, package arrived Wednesday - couldn't be happier!
Appreciate the cliff notes, not to mention the review!
Can I ask how those dents ended up there in the first place? They don't look scuffed like the bike was dropped
Not a bike mechanic, but every time I've had a "run for 2-3 second then shuts down" it's either been a sensor or an immobilizer to blame...especially if it just shuts off (rather than coughing and choking until it dies). Sorry I can't give ya too much more...I learn about things on the FZ as...
I definitely agree! One of the many reasons I'm glad to have moved back away from the city!
Only reason I thought we now had this law is because of a local radio show talking about "stupid laws that were just passed" and someone calling in to explain the utility of the "motorcycles being able...
