I wouldn't use duct tape or anything like that. The adhesive melts when it gets warm and just turns into a mess... I'd hit up the old hardware store and ask a pro. They gotta have patches with epoxy or something
I thought about riding my own bike but these were my thoughts as well. Some day id like to have a dedicated track bike of sorts.
How's the gear that they rent? Like I said, hopefully Im gonna continue track riding as a hobby so Ill have to buy my own gear eventually. Am I better off buying...
After taking this riding school I will most likely do track days (PA and NJ mainly) but I thought that starting off on the right foot by going to a school would be my best option. Especially since the one day is only $675 which seems reasonable to me. Thanks for the links
2250? Holy crap. Actually I'm doing the one in New Jersey. Its a little bit closer to where I live and Im just doin the one day at $675. How is it so much more for a second day?
Cool! Thanks for the advice. I'm sure Ill have more questions as it gets closer. I'm hoping this school will lead to more trackdays for me in the future.
Cool, I just purchased a legacy last year. I decided to get snow tires for it even tho they're not totally necessary. But if you really wanna perform in the snow, the tires + all wheel drive = a beast in the snow
The demo truck was actually here towards the end of last summer but of course it was pouring rain... I will definitely update the forum. The class isnt til August
Allow me to clarify: this is California Superbike School's bike. Not the dealership's. Apparently they purchased a fleet for their school according to their website Motorcycle Riding School - California Superbike School
I was in my local BMW bike shop the other day and they had a flier up for California Superbike School. They're doing a session in New Jersey in August. Its something I've always wanted to do so I'm doin it! And better yet, I get to use the school's new BMW S1000rr super bike. Holy shnikeys I'm...
