Just got the bike and already done some mods.
In my opinion, my mods in order of importance...
Scorpio alarm...I live in an apartment in Scarborough.
Crash bars, (not sliders just my preference), cause I drive in Toronto which is known for bad drivers.
Givi side bags and trunk, V35, V46, I plan on doing same serious road trips.

thought I'd chime in here again, one suggestion I would have if you're thinking of
performance related mods is to do only one at a time and see how it affects the
bike before going further, I learned this the hard way on my first bike, a '73 RD350,
was a young lad at the time and first winter I owned it I took the motor out and did
everything I could find to do to it, spent a %*^$ pile on it, put it back in with new
exhaust and spent the next 4 months frigging with carb jets before it ran right again,
too much all at once, everything in moderation I have since learned

1. r6 fork upgrade which includes the bigger brakes, it cost me about 400 bux but changed the bike completely, best yet for me.
2. something that came on my bike when i bought it but a aftermarket seat from corbin or yamaha, seargents, where ever. Less fatigue on long rides.

Fork springs. Take a trip up here and Rob, Eric and I can get you through it in no time at all. 15T sprocket is another easy chore.

And if the prior owner didn't fix it, you have a headlight out!

SUSPENSION!

The rest is just fluff, spend the money on that youll be impressed on how much money will will save by not having to buy the other stuff. Well, technically you might end up spending more money on tires cause you will be able to actually enjoy riding farther and more often.
