I voted "helmet gloves jacket boots riding pants", although the exception is my ~4 mile trip to work where I skip wearing the riding pants, but still wear the boots. I know it's dumb too, because I've been off twice now and the pants saved my quite a bit both times. I always wear the pants...

Not used, but new and painted. $45.35 and cheaper than buying directly from most Yamaha dealers.
Hey, glad to hear your gonna fix yours up!
My signals are the original equipment still. I just took the stalks off the front ones. There are some sleek LED signals that I like, but I'm sticking with the stock signals for now to stay legit.
Let me know if you have any questions. I've followed...
I have these gloves too. I got them from Cyclegear (during their new years day sale?) when they were 40% off, got them for $60. I like them a lot, but the stitching WILL fall apart. I exchanged my first pair after like three rides, because the velcro was falling off. My second pair have been...
Mine was scathed up MUCH worse than that. I didn't remove it or replace it. Just filled the scratches out being careful to keep the round flat shape were it says Yamaha. Once all but the deepest scratch was out I sanded it a little, then taped it off with masking tape and plastic bags. Then I...
Your bike has always been one of my biggest inspirations for mods! As well as the work of Wavex and others...
I found some nice thin aluminum housed LED indicators that I like. I'm just a little wary of the local LEO's. They have a sort of a campaign going on right now to stop as many...
I got them from Fly-N-Cycle Motorsports-Motorcycle Parts and Gear Online. I bought the headlights, fork clamps, and brackets from them.
The back side of the plastic fork clamps will touch the frame before the steering locks though. It doesn't limit the steering by very much at all, but it...
Love it!
Most yellow bikes I wouldn't be caught dead on, but your I would even own. Looks great.
P.S. They look like they're naked from the factory when the headlight paint matches.
I made my mine with 1.25" holes. It's still loud, but comfortably loud. My first set I made with 7/8" holes (same as the stock muffler), they were too quite for me.
I also put a small bead of silicone around the outer edge on both sides, so that they fit the recessed area and don't rattle.
You can also save quite a bit of money by making your own baffles.
It just take a small sheet of thin aluminum. I can't remember off the top of my head what size I settled on for the holes, maybe 1.25"? Outline a few circles to match the size of the recessed area, ~2". Then drill your...
