Calling FZ7 and FZ9 riders for help.

We are looking to add the FZ7 and FZ9 to our list of bikes that we fit with our bar end weights.

If anybody has either of those bikes and would like to provide us with some specs we'd appreciate it. I can't get a hold of the parts microfiche yet, but even that doesn't give me detailed specs.

Respond on the forum if you're interested in helping. Basically just looking for dimensions, weight, thread diameter/pitch...

Dang! I gave mine away when I swap for the Pro Tapper. Those are great, still have them on my FZ6R. I believe they are the regular M16 x 1.5 if I remember well. I will ask on the FZ09 forum. Cheers.

If that's the case then they are likely interchangeable with the FZ9. Let me know what you find out.

Current main ride is a Versys. The short list now includes the Yamaha Super Tenere. The FZ9 looks awesome too. Can I get it with full hard luggage?

Lol probably not, if you are dead set on going long distances with the 09 I will just say.

3 gallon tank may get you 130-40 miles if your lucky

140ish miles a tank one one of those is enough IMO. I rode from West Palm Beach to the Dragon and back. 3 days and a snug under 2K miles later I was back home. 900 miles in 14 hrs on the way back... great little bike. A bigger tank would be welcome but not a deal breaker to me. A little break every 2-3 hrs is all good.To be fair honest, if you have something that fit right in, cool. But don't go out of your way to R&D a new product specific for this bike. That thing is so smooth on long ride... I have the Pro Tapper with some SpeedMetal bar end that weight nothing and I can ride all day long. Your heavy bar ends did make a huge difference on my FZ6R to kill the I-4 vibe.


EDIT: Confirm, M16 x 1.5 The stock bar end is a bit smaller than a FZ6R if it help. I remember when I first bough the 09 thinking about putting FZ6R bar ends if the vibration were going to annoy me.
