Thankfully YOU are OK! The bike doesn't look bad at all. New plastics are Ron Ayers Motorsports - Motorcycle, ATV, Jet Ski and Generators Parts and Accessories are pretty cheap and so is the engine cover that is scuffed. I'll bet you can do almost all of it for a lot less than $600!

Kudos for ATGATT! I went 1 mile today to gas up between thunder storms. You got it, in FULL GEAR! :D

Thanks for the link. I dd some research last night (sore wrist and all, wicked sore this morning) basically it's the plastic and a few dents on the tank that some touch up paint will cover. But you are in the right ball park with price.

I went down once (on another bike) because I didn't think about mud I still had on tire sidewalls. Although I wasn't wearing a full face helmet, I did have on a snap on shield and it saved my face. Geesh, looks like bike quite a bit got scratched/scuffed up, huh? I think that once you go down, you're far less likely to in the future.

There was a good chance that I would have saved the bike if it wasn't for the front brake being locked up and hitting the dirt patch on the side of the road.
I just got the go ahead from the Mrs's to replace the damaged parts. She was kinda pissed but pleased that I was geared up and fairly un-scaved.

Your crash beat mine, glad you're ok, don't do it again!
and get back on the road :Sport:

Yo Jo,

I'll be moving up to your neck of the woods next month. I'll be in the Melrose area. I was actually looking for house in Burlington two weeks ago. Hoping to get back on the road very soon. Maybe we'll cross paths someday.

Ordered the replacement parts for the bike today. Should be about ten business days for them to arrive, so i'm looking at probably 2 to 3 weeks without riding. Bumm'n to say the least. Very sore today.

Glad you are more or less okay Zoom. Thank goodness for your helmet! That would have been a nice dental bill!

Advil is your friend! I hope you feel better soon.

Was discussing this very point with my wife yesterday. Could have been a lot worse. Advil is my middle name right now!!!

I was going to do the headlight mod tomorrow but i guess that's off now. I just want to get the bike fixed and be sure the frame sliders are the next mod I do!

Glad to hear you're ok. Get them to do the headlight mod for you while they are fixing the bike up.
