Stopped by the dealer this past weekend just as a "hey, what's this thing look like?". Followed by "This thing is F&%4IN' Awesome". That turned into "hey, How much would you give me for my FZ1?"

Long story short; It was enough ;)

WOW! Beautiful bike. Have you had a chance to ride her yet?

Thank you Sir!

And yes...No where near enough though! It was a balmy 31°F when I took my maiden voyage; just too cold to do much more than a few miles.

This thing take me back to my offroad days. The power is abrupt and plentiful; Can't wait to take full advantage this spring!

Damn, scooter!! You flip bikes more than anyone I know! (not saying it's wrong.. heck.. I'm a bit jealous!)

LOVE this one! Hope it serves you well and you keep it for more than 2 months!! :D

"My name is Scott...and I have a problem"

I think this may actually be the bike for a while...think being the key word!

Congratulations! I like the color. Saw the same color at a dealer here! Hmmmm...

Feed the Addiction.... Good One!

Shall we all place our bets now? :ban:

Well come on down to OK. The roads suck a$$, however it is supposed to be 72 on Saturday. Me and the Guzzi, and then the Tuono are going to strafe the prairie this weekend. :)

Nice bike! Sat on one at the dealer a couple of weeks ago then road a Ducati Diavel, talk about two different bikes. Didn't ride the FZ09 but think would buy over the Ducati.

Hey it's warmer in Oklahoma than it is down here in Alabama!

Went to my dealer to ride one last weekend. They didn't have their demo model in yet :(. Two weeks apparently....

Interesting that you traded the FZ1 in for a smaller bike. Apart from your 'problem', what were your thoughts on the differences? Similar power? More usable power? Agility? Looks? Price? Just because?

Although red would have been better, I'll just say "nice bike!" :D:D:D

I was contemplating holding out for the red; I fear that the color is a bit flat though. Most importantly, I could have instant gratification with the Graphite :)

The only thing that kills me on the bike is the color of the wheels. Not really sure what they were thinking here; Powder coat this winter? Perhaps!

It's a bit of a haul, but I'm game!

Alright, Alright, Need to have AAA put together a TripTiK for me ;)

Awesome to be you !!! Can't wait to read a full review

I can't wait to be able to ride it long enough to give a full review! Saturday is supposed to be in the 50's; fingers crossed,

There are two main reasons for the switch: 1: The GEN II FZ1 never really fit the bill for me. 2: The FZ-09 is much more "My Style" of bike.

I do not have enough riding time under my belt to give a 100% accurate comparison; But at first blush, the FZ-09 has quite a bit more usable power. For my riding style (and riding locations), I never took full advantage of the power of an inline-4. As most can probably attest, riding at 10,000-12,000 RPM is just not feasible on the street (most of the time).

The other most notable difference is the weight. The bike feels more like the WR250X than I was expecting. So light!

That's going to be my next bike, I love the look of it. I would like a fairing though.

How tall are you Scott, I haven't seen the 9 in Ireland yet and haven't had the chance to sit on one.
