i have voted every single picture on the first and current contest...last contests winner had under 50 votes i beleive,,which is a shame!!! whats wrong with you guys??

woah, there youa re. i haven't seen you in weeks since i have been so busy. glad to know you're still around.
I have now voted on every picture in the contest, and even added one of my own.
I tried to add some different ones but "an error was found" and they wouldn't upload.

How about if the highest voted non-elite member gets the upgrade?
The overall winner gets to add the distinction to his/her user title
No we live in a condo and the Rec room has a big screen TV in it, full kitchen, pool table, and a couple leather sofa's.... It is like a cool little studio apartment...

What is a good photograph?
1. It must be interesting to the viewer and sometimes challenging. Some photographs cry for the photographer to answer "how did he do that?".
2. It should have a sharp image and the subject should stand out from the background. This can be accomplished by either "depth of field" focus or color contrast. (A soft focus on a person's face or a flower may still be considered sharp. This may have been the photographer's intention when they took the photo).
3. The photograph should tell a story, make a statement, or set a mood. This may be one that is easily understood as seen in a landscape or may be abstract as seen in creative or contemporary work.
4. The photograph should be properly exposed to show what the photographer intended. It should be done so that the viewing public can understand what the intentions of the photographer were when they made the photo.
5. The photograph should have good color rendition of the subject. This may be natural colors or colors that have been reversed or altered, but they must be complementary to the viewer's eye and to each other.
In the case of a photo contest it boils down to how the photograph is judged and what the criteria is that the judges are using. To me, just saying I like that one does not make the photograph a quality piece and for this reason I do not vote. I will however say there are truly some quality pieces within the current and past collections.
