I worked on building the doner wall on the USS Midway. I've been on that carrier quite a few times!

C'mon my US brothers , your killing me !!!! All this Aircraft carrier action & not many pics , we dont get to see to many aircraft carriers ɹǝpu∩ uʍop....... Last one I saw was the USS Ronald Reagan WAAAAY back in 2006

FYI, the USS Ronald Reagan came back to port last Thursday in San Diego. I saw it way off shore early Thursday but didn't know which carrier it was until I saw the Friday newspaper. I don't get to see them much anymore either as I live in landlocked Austin, TX.

Sorry Cliff, we had absolutely no time to visit anyone... the kind of trips I don't like. I had grandiose plans and was up before 8am every morning. They, on the other hand, wanted to sleep in and be lazy. It was difficult leaving the house at noon every day to go sightseeing. That sure bugs me but I'll get over it. On Thursday we were gone from the house a total of 3 hours when they both relayed that they were tired and wanted to go home and nap. Wednesday, after being on the ship for two hours we split up. They went to the gift shop while I went on a tour of the tower/bridge. I got a text to "hurry up", they're waiting for me and ready to go get lunch. Sorry, Humpy, I didn't get more pics.

Where did you find that 3,5'' disk? :thumbup:

I have to say that all of your pics are awesome, especially the last one.... and starbucks with the ancient disk is very cool .... and the library, and the shelves...

I bet you are either a professional or took some particular workshops.

Lol The girl in the last photo was useing the floppies as costers but thanks man! Actually I guess I am a professional (feels weird calling myself that lol). But i work at a Studio and do quite a bit of independent work. Highest achivement so far has been getting on the NY Daily Post.. BUT they stole the photo so i had to get my lawyer to give them a call before they paid me but $600 a photo isnt that bad lol

So far so good anyway took these about 2wks ago and it was quite a nice day with some sunshine. Luckily have escaped the snow that some parts of the country have got recently though. So can still get out on the bike :thumbup:

Went to Austin-Bergstrom (TX) airport today to see some old airplanes. I had heard they just had a few but knew that a B-17 and B-24 were in the mix. Great surprise to see the Messerschmidt ME-262! I had never seen one before... fantastic! The P-51 Mustang flew in and parked. We got to go into the bombers, which was cool. My grandfather flew 30 missions over Europe during WWII in a B-24 (445th BG) so seeing one in person for the first time was pretty emotional, fought to hold back tears. Going inside one was great too. You really get the feeling of how cramped they were, no frills, just basic planes built to deliver their payload of death and destruction.

BTW the story behind those photos! i got access to a hanger at boulder airport so i took my riding group up there (i had to take my car so thats why you dont see any fz5 sexyness). one of the guys took a video of it all:
