BTW the story behind those photos! i got access to a hanger at boulder airport so i took my riding group up there (i had to take my car so thats why you dont see any fz5 sexyness). one of the guys took a video of it all:

Went to a hot rod and custom show in Austin last weekend. Lots of cars/trucks. I tried to take photos of things I found interesting. I did take a lot of full car pics but they're boring.

Through a 1280mm f/6.3 reflecting lense (ie schmidt-cassegrain telescope) on a motorized mount that tracks with the earths rotation. Canon 350d and 20 exposures of 10 minutes each averaged together to smooth out the noise.....in a nutshell

MotoGP has come to Austin, TX. I took a few photos today during qualifying. Wish I had a much better lens. Some of these are blurry but I was not using a monopod or anything and using an old 28-200mm zoom. I had initially set the speed to 160 which was too slow and netting blurry pan shots.

Thanks, Yasko. I don't know if I'll do another at COTA. The track is awesome, they lack in customer experience. As long as you buy your ticket that's all that matters to them. My only other experience is Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, which is very fan friendly. Austin still likes to price gouge from hotels to hot dogs. Thankfully I live 30 minutes from the track. So far I haven't purchased anything at the track, didn't get a 2nd mortgage to afford anything yet. $9 for a 16oz beer? At least they let you bring in water so I'm packing.

Marc Marquez is the youngest rider to get a pole and youngest to win a race in GP now. Took some more today, stayed in one spot near turn 8. Will post them as soon as I go through them.
