Ok so I had mt father take my bike to an area I could practice my riding. He reached the site before I did and when i came up I notice he was acting weird. Didnt think anything off it. As Im riding I notice I couldnt see my rear break peddle and stopped. It was bent in ..immediately I said YOU DROPPED MY BIKEQ+!? He denied it. Finally when I stopped to take a brake I saw him messing with the front right signal light. IT WAS BROKEN! he had dropped the bike while attempting to smoke! I found my side view mirror was scratched, handle bar scratched, and tip of the eyebrow on my front light was scratched :(:(:(

Any ideas on fixing the signal light? or should I use this as an opportunity to modify the front signal likes to the watsons?

bummers on the bike injuries. I resorted to zip ties to fix my turn signal. One of these days I will go for a better fix

Is he willing to replace what he damaged? I know hes your dad and all, but after all he did drop it! I'd get new signals instead of "bastardizing" it with tape or zip ties.

Aw man that sucks. It will be ok. I would practice with it for a while first before you fix it. It might just get dropped again learning. Sorry to hear about your bike man.

sound like it is time to get some frame sliders if you are learning. Would have saved your bike. I am looking at getting some flush mounts to replace mine from when I wrecked (small scratches). It just gives me a reason to mod that I didn't have before. Now I just need to find the right ones.

Thats not too bad but tell him to quit the cigs, better yet just kick his ass.

Hah, why kick the dads ars? He should kick his own for letting somebody else ride his bike. It's kinda like wives, would you let the guy next door ride yours????

I assume it would've been okay if YOU dropped the bike and caused the damage yourself?

I know it sounds harsh but...accidents happen.

I am irritated that he lied to you though. To answer your question, I recommend talking to this guy:
http://www.600riders.com/forum/bikes-parts-sale/4332-entire-front-end-sale-minus-speedo.html

Perhaps Serraph hasn't sold the Turn Signals yet?

You can also try this:
fz6 turn signal, Parts Accessories, eBay Motors items on eBay.com

Your Brake Pedal sounds like it could be bent back into shape, but if you want another used one:
eBay Motors: 2004-2008 yamaha fz6, fzs6 rear brake pedal (item 370033657144 end time May-16-08 10:03:09 PDT)

Yep, get your dad to pay for it. Bummer mate, good work for going some where safe to practice.

If turn signal broke @ the plastic tapped hole (ie, attachment screw came off with the whole blinker body) you should try some binary epoxy...worked well for me.

Point of clarification--was your dad attempting to smoke the tire or tabbaccy?

When I dropped mine at low speed , I popped the indicator out of the cowling. I used gap filling super glue (crazy glue?) to fix it with, been like that a year now & nobody but me could tell which side it is.

sucks about the bike, but really sucks that your own father would lie to you about dropping it.

Get some after market signals, or you can order me some after market ones and i will send you my stockies.

someone on here may have their stock signal kicking around to send you also, just ask.

^ quote of the year so far :D

its nice to see so many positive comments, i personally would be very angry and demand that he pays for the damage. at the end of the day though its not worth destroying the relationship if he refuses.
