How Long Does the OEM Air Filter Last?

I am wondering how long the air filter lasts in my FZ6. I notice the maintenance schedule says check @4k and 20k. However, it does not mention how often it needs to be replaced. I was lagging a bit on maintenance (other than oil), and was starting to get hesitation at low RPMS. I changed the plugs and that fixed that problem @23k.

Just take it out and inspect it.
A lot depends on the quality of the air you ride in.

Take the filter out and post a photo if you want.....but with 23,000miles, you should just get a new one.

I finally changed mine at 21,000, and the engine ran WAAAY better afterwards.
