Guess I know jack... looks good to me, I don't know enough to try myself so I guess the obvious escapes me...I venture a guess of fingers being almost caught at one point?

Did you post the wrong video or are you talking about how he slid his fingers between the rim and the tire? That's a big no-no but in his defense he did it once when the tire was still not inflated and a second time after it was already losing air (or so I think - I didn't look too carefully). Regardless, it looked like a good tire change to me. Oh and those rim protectors are awesome. I've been using some pieces of plastic juice bottles that always endup inside the tire ...

The idiot move was at around 6.20 when he was airing up the tire and stuck 4 fingers I between the tire and the rim, I guess to see if air was leaking but if the bead would have seated he very easily could have lost a finger

Exactly! Try to imagine that bead snapping shut on a finger tip. Now that your finger is in there.

^^ 6:20 That'd be the spot. Sometimes all it takes is time and beads seat. Other times a tiny nudge from the knee and WAM! Fingers would be pinched or chopped in a split second.

This is not to put down his efforts; but to warn others!

Think of it as a "what NOT to do" while inflating a tire!

That's so true and an excellent catch that people should take heed from. At no time do you want to have anything in that area between the bead and rim once air is going in.

Why does he take out the brake discs i don't know.

My guess is that he took them off so they wouldn't get damaged while he was working on the wheel.

I'd install them too, before balancing, but in the grand scheme of things probably wouldn't change the balance much , if at all.

yeah taking off the rotors was overkill.
plus you have to torque them back down with red loctite....so removing them was probably a pain....
you can buy a mini-stand to hold the wheel while you change the tire, saves your rotors and your back...!!
