32" of snow already!

Really we are already getting hammered with blizards this early in the season. I live in the "deep south" atl and we hardly ever get snow but the last 5 winters have gotten progressively worse and worse every year, where last year the roads iced up 3 times and one time stayed iced over for a week straight. Northerns im sure are reading this like WOW yall are some lucky b@stards, but keep in mind we have 1 snow plow for maybe every 1000 miles of road in the citys. Plus no one can seem to.figure out how to drive in it. Well i got a feelin this winter is gonna be rough. Not just where i live but across the nation maybe vegas will even get snow again. So i guess we will see how it plays out but my heart goes out to those who just lost their lives in the recent snow storm. But get ready fellas i's got's a feelin it's comin and comin hard

Yep, got 13" of heavy wet white crap the other day, rode my trusty "6" into work this morning, 32F foggy and wet, little slick in spots, but I'm not giving up yet:BLAA:

Here in central VA we got nothing but rain. I pitty you poor fools in MASS who will be without power for up to a week I heard this morning!

Chevy: I grew up in New Orleans so I have to disagree with ATL being "the deep south". ATL is certainly "the south" but if you ever get even a dusting of snow you do not live in the "deep south". In New Orleans every 3 or 4 years we might get a little freezing rain but that was it, never snow or ice.

Thats kinda why i put it in " " some people refer to it as the deep some dont, i just call it the south but up until the last 5 years or so i cant really remember us getting any snow other then the occasional flurry, other than the freak storm we got in 93

In the south and mid-atlantic snow is generally not the problem, it's the ice storms. Every year we get at least one, takes out power for days and puts everyone in the ditch on the roads.

ya we probably got between 6-8" on saturday which took out trees and power, finally got it back on today so that's a plus. I want to move south to get away from this snow but it sounds like it'll be as bad there in a few years. Thanks Al Gore!
