Australian Battered Potatoes?!

I play the Didgeridoo Cliff , there are photos of my 2 on the forum somewhere  Practice your circular breathing with a straw & a glass of water , start by filling your cheeks with air & blow bubbles in to the water through the straw by using your cheek muscles , now inhale through your nose at the same time  its not really as hard as it sounds :D

Thanks Daniel! Had no idea where to start and now I do. That's pretty cool and I'm serious about learning that.

Shoot all that's left is wrestling a croc  and I'll be all set for a visit with you folks!

4 slices of toast this morning smother in something else for you to try Cliff Australian Catalogue: Pecks Anchovette Paste it started its life in the UK but we adopted it as our own

Fish paste FTW:rockon:

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I thought i was gunna fly solo with that one

Haha! I have a little jar in the fridge. Anchovies! I make home made Hummus. I won't be humble, it's the best hummus! We eat it with tabouli. Lisa's in charge of the tabouli and I add my anchovies on top. WooHoo! It's good!:BLAA:
I know I'd like the paste. I've heard of anchovies on pizza but got the idea for hummus and it was killer!

Pretty much any flavour Peck's with a spoon and hoover it up.

Great for lunch when you're fishing too. Hands covered in ****le/pippie juice...who cares...lol.

A Sausage Sanga at the Local Footy....mystery meat in the snags, cooked by some well meaning volunteer, with heaps of overcooked onions slapped on top, a truckload of dead horse, on a single piece of the cheapest white bread available, in a napkin, and balanced in one hand, cause you have a cold beer in the other hand!

The Beer is icey cold, cause some kind hearted volunteer put them on ice about tuesday!!!! It's about 10c outside with a 40 knot wind blowing, and it's raining sideways, and the beer is freezing your hand off, cause you forgot both your gloves, and ya stubby holder....so you try and put the beer in your jacket pocket...it spills!

Anyway, your cold, your feet are in 4 feet of mud, your wet, cause the old wet weather gear for the footy consists of a hoodie, and a beanie!, but your kid is playing footy, you have snag sanga to munch on, and the beer tastes great at $3 a can....footy club prices! So your as happy as a pig in $hit!

If there is a footy club out there in Australia, that doesnt havea sausage sizzle, they should be disbanded now!

Your not a DJ , your a bloody artist mate  Painted a perfect picture of a Saturday afternoon , you should be hung on a wall in the national gallery :D just substite for the beer for a can of cane cutters cordial ;)

If your local footy club hasn't got a sausage sizzle, you can always head on down to Bunnings for your snag.

Just remember to stop and get it on the way in.....'cause on the way out it gets a little challenging with the light globes, toilet seat, new drill, and a red dripping onion covered snag in a rapidly soggifying (WOOT! Another new word to pen into my dictionary) piece of bread in each hand:eek:...lol.

Man! Stop talkin bout snags! I get the Italian type and put them in a skillet W/ onions, red Bell peppers, garlic and diced tomatoes, cilantro, add some beer and worcestershire sauce. On a real french or Italian bread. A good grated cheese sprinkled on top. WoooooHooooo! Snagga Heaven! A tinny in one hand and that sammy in the other and you've got the true evolution of man!

See this is terrible! Gotta hit the kitchen now!

LOL..I'm OK to talk about food now. Just got Home from work and had some steamed Tasmainian Salmon Fillets, with a few slices of grape tomatoes, a splash of Caesar salad dressing and some cracked pepper with melted cheese atop. Yummo:BLAA:.

You have mentioned the "Secret Ingredient" in this post! Worcestshire Sauce.....the foundation of a million different "dishes".....a dash in the mayo for a "Tato Salad", gives it a real zing! a generous smattering over the snags on the "Barby"!, along with a few splashes of beer, to put out the fire afterwards! :D, a dash in the old stir fry, doesnt go astray either, a dash in the Beer batter, a dash in the Scrambled Eggs mix, etc, etc,...Worcestshire Sauce...."secret ingredient" legend!

Got my Vegemite a few days ago. They actually bounced it to me from Singapore!

Took a taste when it arrived and it tasted similar to the brewers yeast our mom used to give us. Of course that's what it basically is and I have to say if I wasn't brought up on the taste it would be a strange experience but I knew the flavor right away!

So I take "Food For Life" cinnamon raisin bread. It's a killer, flourless, sprouted grain, organic bread and toast it. Spread some of the Vegemite on with 2 slices of Jarlsburg cheese and some Veganaise, (eggless mayo).

I have to say it's a genius idea. What a flavor! I'm hooked and really like it! Wanted seconds but I'm out of bread. It tastes good right off the spoon but remember I grew up with brewers yeast. When my mom first gave it to us we weren't real happy about it but we trusted her because this was the same lady that brought us the most killer bread puddings in the world!

Vegemite is a stroke of genius!
Yes I can see where it would be an acquired taste for those that have never tasted yeast. I took a taste on a spoon this morning and it sort of reminded me of that faint beer after taste. Well...of course it would! Haha!

Now, where can I find a croc to wrestle?!:rockon:
