Am replacing my OEM FZ6N headlight with this unit, so i can mount clip-on handlebars for a bit of a modern take on the Cafe Racer theme.

I think i will modify the headlight unit to fit my existing mini LED indicators on each side, which should not be hard.

I like that headlight !! you are definitly on the right track to build an awesome cafe racer...... You will be back in a magazine with this build for sure!!!

It's a decent quality unit as well, with EC approved lights, 50w/55w.

I think i will need to paint it the same metallic gloss black as the rest of the bike....i just cant wait to get the thing....

I like that, Wolfman! That's gonna look sharp!

So, ah...whatcha planning on doing with the FZ6N headlight? That sure would look nice on the front of my bike (yeah, I know, I just did the Buell conversion, but the N headlight is cool!).

Probably be cheaper just to buy it here anyway, huh? LOL.

Why can't you mount clip-ons with the stock FZ6N headlight? Just curious, I'm not exactly sure how the N headlight mounts, must be blocking something.

The reason you cant use clip-ons with the OEM FZ6N haedlight, is because, they headlight /front indicator mount brackets, sit virtually flush with the front of the forks, thus giving you no clearance for the clip on handle bars...you need to bring the headlight unit away from the fork legs, by about 80mm, before you have enough clearance for the clip-ons.

Lol! 3 people have asked me about the FZ6N headlight on my bike, since i posted this....

Sorry people, i will be keeping the OEM fz6 Headlight, just in case, i want to use it again.

What was your's called, and was it good? What where the lights like? Quality of the unit, overall?
