Another Power Commander question...

Does installing a PCIII unit 'smooth/even out' the touchy throttle/

By this I mean our throttles at the very beginning seem to have a very "on or off" feel; snappy. Common complaint by new owners/riders of the FZ6.

So does installing a PCIII fix or improve this at all?

A little. I think the touchy on/off is mechanical not the ECU.
It does however give a healthy bump in mid-range (seat dyno). I would love to see back-to-back pulls with it on and off. I suspect there is a little more top-end and a good mid-range bump.

It does, with a proper tune. With the stock dynojet maps it is hit and miss.

I found that it helped a lot on my 06. The transitions from off/on were jarring at times in the twisties, no matter how much I tried to be smooth with the throttle. After installing the PCIII (with stock map), it is much smoother. I think it was worth every penny. Your mileage will go down though, but I don't remember by how much ,I've had it on for a couple of years.

I have only had my PC111 for a month but the first thing I noticed was that the throttle was a lot smoother :thumbup:

When I installed mine I didn't notice just how much it smoothed out the throttle. It wasn't until I took it off that I really noticed the on/off. So yes, it did smooth mine out.

I definitely agree with Oz, I also noticed less touchy feeling with the throttle especially in first gear. Gave me more confidence on uphill stop and go. :BLAA:
