The same happened to me within the first year I got my license, I was cruising along 287northbound on the middle lane when a burgman 600cc zip passed me and the rider graciously wave his hand at me. I felt such a dork after, that I exited quickly and headed back home embarrassed to continue riding with other motorist who witnessed the whole thing. I told my buddy about that story and he reminded me that at one point I too wanted a megascoot before deciding on an FZ6. Moral of the story............ I could have been the dude zipping past "real" bikers with my rinky dinky scooter tires at 80-90mph with shorts, flipflops and a shirt...........NOT!! I LOVE MY FZ6

kidding, kidding, those yahoo always try and break the land speed record on 35, I would never take a wheel chair to those speeds!:Flash:

about scooters, they rock! I'd like to own an MP3... or a Burgman 650... my step dad and I have been looking at them lately as he is interested... (it would be parked in my garage so I'd use it to commute every once in a while as well :D)

Fortunately, he had a passenger on the bike.
Otherwise, I could not get pass him.... ha ha ha

As I wrote in another thread I have a friend who rides a Burgman scoot. Anyway this guy rode many motorbikes previously, his last one being a FJR. Last Wednesday I went together with him and a group from my work on a ride in the middle of the Netherlands. This guy led the group (including several super sport bikes) most of the way and many other bikers were struggling to keep up :eek: I believe this was mainly due to this guys riding skills, but that scoot can go.
 
They do go a bit; there are a few scoots out there that will top 100mph.

Mind you they cost nearly as much as an FZ6.
