According to the magazine it is reportedly going to be a 750cc naked, carrying the name FZ8.
Yamaha has filed a trademark application for the name FZ8...according to AMCN.
The article goes onto say that the idea makes sense, more power, more importantly, more torque, and would go a long way to explaining the introduction of the XJ6..
The magazine suggests a 2010 launch is possible, but more likely, it's to be a 2011 lauch.
and then goes to talk about where the powerplant would come from....suggesting an upsized r6 motor...
There is even a very sexy pic of what the new bike could look like, attached to the article...
AMCN is normally pretty reliable with stuff like this, so are we about to see a new era in the FZ line up???

Also I kind of like side exhausts as opposed to underseat
Sure there are drawbacks like burning your leg/luggage, or scraping them. But, they weigh less, are cheaper to get aftermarket cans for, and allow for better fender eliminators.
