newbie still dammit
I was thinking of picking up a K&N air filter and cat elim pipe this friday, I gotta wait about 5 -6 weeks to pick up an exhaust. Is it cool to install those 2 things prior or am I creating a lot of double work?

Not for the filter you can do that and not have much retracing... you prob want to do cat elim and exhaust at same time though

I cut out the cat on my 06 when I fitted TB’s and thereafter my bike refused to idle.
I had to fit db killers to get back pressure. I wouldn’t recommend removing the cat unless you intend fitting a power commander or juice box.
The S2's don’t seem to have this problem, possibly because they have three cats and a Co2 sensor.

I have a PC III currently running stock map from PCIII website, were you eventually able to run the elim pipe without the db killers?

Still running the db killers, because I dyno tuned with them in. You ought to be ok with PCIII and custom map

What exhaust are you planning on getting? the Leo Vince comes with the cat eliminator pipe with the set.

Originally I wanted the Leo's but cost wise it's alot better on my wallet to get my 2nd choice which was the Scorpions. I've been looking for the scorpion mid pipe but I found a great deal on the arrow midpipe so I was gonna grab that and get the scorps in a couple of paychecks.
Reiobard in a different thread you mentioned you heard your Leo's compared to scorps and the leo's were much louder was that with or without the db killers?
