Jamie,I had a set of AFAM chain and sprockets on my CBR and had nothing but probs,mostly the chain,had 3 tight links within 6 months.Just so you know mate.

Got my replacement CRAFT helmet today, now I can be all sinister again.....I so enjoy scaring the car drivers with a withering stare through that bad boy...NICE

Just when i thought i was almost done with my bike....some cager decides to make my day, and cause some interesting injuries to my beast!!!!

So, as a result, it looks like i am going to be "forced"....Lol, into making further mods of my bike.....

Here's a couple of picture's of how it looked before the smash...

That has lots of photo's, here's the list of damage from the accident!

1. Handlebar bent at 45 degree's on left side.
2. Left Bar end mirror trashed.
3. Oxford Heated Grip controller...trashed.
4. Instrument panel mount cracked.
5. Bottom of left fork leg, scraped....minimal.
6. Left engine cover scraped.....will need replacing.
7. Left Crash Slider well scraped, but not bent.
8. Left Rearset bent in, shifter rod bent against frame, left footpeg, bent up & back........
9. Rear subframe appears to be twisted.....

I would recommend "Crash Bobbin axle sliders" I fell of my bike yesterday in the snow and ice. A slow speed spill about 20mph. The frame sliders and the crash bobbins kept all the body work off the ground. A very worth while £20.00 investment.

That is basically what i am waiting on from the Oggy Knobs people. Oggy Knobs is pretty much the only quality brand axle & fork sliders readily available in Australia.

Glad to hear they did the job for you Nelly...riding in snow & ice...i cant even imagine that....all power to you buddy.

As for a Turbo...was just reading about Garrett turbo's earlier....Sheesh, that's taking it to another level all over again....huge dollars i reckon.

You never see a hearse stop at the ATM on the way to a funeral do you , your here for a good time not a long time , go for it mate :thumbup:.....Gee it really is easier to spend other peoples money

Ok, update time....bike is in lots and lots of bits right now...and project leader, Gary is hatching evil plans as we speak.

Have got my bike pulled down to where we need it!

Instrument panel is off for repair,top fork clamp is off (for powder coating, which is now done), ignition disconnected, and seperated from top fork clamp.....and that seperation proved quite a mission, thanks to Yamaha shearing the top of the ignition mount bolts off, added to some serious glue on the threads!...tamper proofing....bit not drill, and multi grips, torque driver, or Gary proof! See photo below for Yamaha tamper-proofing

The Instrument panel is off for what we thought might be a plastic weld job of the instrument panel mounting plate, but on closer inspection, where it is broken is not the main mounting point, and conly needs to be superglued very discreetly back together before refitting to the bike... See photo below.

Have wanted this done for a while...after nearly 25000km's, the clamp, handle-bar riser, was a bit scratched and scuffed, plus i wanted it black, as i think it will look much nicer with my chrome handle bars.

Clamp is not back on the bike as yet...that's happening tomorrow (Cant wait to see how it looks), at the same time as Mike (Ozzieboy), our resident sparky, comes to the party, to clean up the bikes wiring at the rear of the bike, and to make sure electrical numbskulls, Gary & Me, dont get it ar$e up!

Rear grab rail, and rear subframe are being painted in black onyx tomorrow, and i am off to get all the visible bolts that need to go back on the bike, in stainless.

Also will pick up relpacement frame slider tomorrow, to replace scuffed and slightly bent left frame slider.

Finally, the black vinyl on the tank, is going on the bike on Saturday.

Not putting 520 conversion kit (14 front/ 47 rear, black chain) on the bike till after i get back from PI.

More photo's to come as we continue the job, in the next couple of days.

More coming off tomorrow, Exhaust, Underseat tray, basically from the subframe mounting point to the frame back is all coming off, so we can spray the sub frame! bar the rear wheel and swingarm, which will stay on.

Steering Damper :thumbup: , ive been looking at the seat cowls but i think it'd be a waste of money for me because of all the 2 up riding i do..... I just made a cheap seat mod to mine for a bit more comfort by putting a piece of latex memory foam under the sheepskin :thumbup: very noice
