Update:
I called the house this morning and my answering machine picked up. So unless those things are fire proof, my house must still be standing. Now I just hope the winds stay down so that firemen can get this fire under control.:thumbup:

Thanks guys, I'm so unbelievably relieved right now to be sitting in my own living room on my own couch. The fire passed by us literally two blocks away, but passed us by without touching even my yard let alone the house. I'll be taking some time off work this week to help those in the surrounding areas get situated and start rebuilding the neighborhood. G-d has shined some light on me and it's time I pass it on to those in need. In Judaism we call this Tzedakah, which literally translates to "to give of oneself" or interpreted to charity. This is a big part of the teachings of my people and is the basis of most of our beliefs. I'm not a terribly religious person, but someone must have been looking over me this time. Perhaps it was the FZ6 g-ds (j/k).

True that. There have been some looting cases going on all over SoCal since this started. Some people just have no moral compass.

Thanks. I drove all over Yorba Linda today passing out bottles of water to people, especially the fire fighters on their break. They did an amazing job of keeping the fires restricted to the brush areas between neighborhoods instead of in the neighborhoods. In an area of 300 houses, only 1 got torched thanks to these guys and gals.

We had a female arsonist here last year who was lighting them with her kids in the car as a cover !

So glad you and yours are ok. Our local fire dept. sent a strike team down there yesterday. If you see a Peardale fire truck, it's our guys.

I live in Diamond Bar. My mother's neighborhood has been evacuated, except for some that refuse to leave their homes. The air quality here is really bad. My eyes burn and throat is agitated. Last I heard the fire could be 19%-40% contained around the Diamond Bar area. No immediate danger on my street, yet the sky is orange-red on the South-East.
