I was getting ready to put her away for the winter when something really weird happened. Part of my procedure for storage is to add Stabil to the gas after filling it to the top. As I read the direction on the bottle, I determined two ounces was the correct amount and removed the cap. As I...
Whenever you get something off of E-Bay, it's buy at your own risk ! I wouldn't get anything other than things you know are going to be O.K. like gloves or a helmet. Maybe you should bite the bullit and get one from a dealer.
I don't use it reguarly, but I do like my Joe Rocket Hammerhead. It is easy to put on and off and looks like it was designed for the FZ. It has a couple of small windows on top I use for my Tom-Tom and cell. I think New Enough has them on special now.gifhumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I used the Dupont and was happy with it but I visited a local dealer and bought a can of "Polaris" chain lube. This was a multi franchise dealer and the guy in the parts department said they used it on all of their bikes there. I am very impressed so far. I've lubed it twice and it seems to go...
New Enough has a "GREAT" deal on the Joe Rocket Nova 2.0. Just got it, and it is well made and completely waterproof. Fits good and not too hot. At 100 off, you can't beat it.
I was at the hardware store and saw a product called Jig-a-loo. In a nutshell, its a silicone based all purpose lube. I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I was thinking if it does everything it claims, it would be a very good chain lube.
Everybody's going to have an opinion, but the best advice is to pick a few popular choices and do some research. Price is probably a factor too. I like the Dunlop Roadsmart myself.:D
As you can tell, windscreens are very much like stereo equipment. Everybodys got a different opinion. I chose a Puig double bubble in light smoke and am very happy with the results. My main concern when I bought it was the buffeting on the freeway. It's much improved over the stock shield. So, I...
Most of the service work done at a dealer is done correctly. Do people post a message of how great the service was? It's mainly when something isn't done right, that the posting begins and then it's a fear game when you need to take your bike in. I don't go to the dealer for simple things ,but...
You paid for the service and you deserve it to be right. Take it back and see what their explanation is. Maybe they know something you don't. I think they are representing the Yamaha company and are trained by the manufacture so see if it's something that is a mistake or something Yamaha...
I have the "Cycleguys" Fastpack that I think is the best compromise. It folds flat when not in use and holds alot of stuff when you need it. I also have the Joe Rocket Hammerhead for when I'm in need of my GPS and longer trips. It's not too big and holds quite a bit too. Check out the Fastpack...
Just a note....I have my bike in for what turned out to be a "staple" in the rear tire, so I guess thats getting replaced. I was told by my service person "not" to use the Pure One filter because it doesn't let enough oil flow. I think he was trying to sell an oil change but, has anyone else...
I have a 08 that I bought new in June of last year. I rode without any problems till riding season ended.(Wisconsin, gets cold) This year we have had a mild spring so I was able to start a little early for Wisconsin. My problem is this. After taking her out of storage, I topped up the tires to...
