Yea it was abit of a teaser. I was still getting 12volts to the pump with the plug to the pump disconnected.It was'nt until i connected the plug and tested the voltage that i noticed the voltage erratic and above 7 volts.(this is after i had pulled the fuel pump out of the tank a tested it) I...
For thoose that are interested. Found problem with fuel pump not running. Fuel relay defective. Must have got wet at some stage, even being a sealed unit.
Yep everything is working fine. Battery has full charge, engine will crank over at full starter speed with no problem. I'll just have to pull the pump apart later today and have a look.:confused:

Hope this helps, had this problem before on a bandit. Have you changed the s.plugs, weak/ poor spark can c`reate similar symptoms.Have come across the contact tip of the plug come loose. Check the enamel for cracks also.

Totally agree with Scorphoic, here in Northern Ireland it is exactly the same,if your a being attacted your are supossed to bend over and and take one. Promlem is that our gov's have no back bone.
