Just curious. Why would you want to change to a skinnier and weaker chain and sprockets?

I'm not too sure about the color of those headers. It almost looks like there is an exhaust leak where the headers connect to the exhaust port. My pipes turned gold but not black. I'd check out any possibility of an exhaust leak. And if it is a leak, that could possibly make the engine run...

i think the manufacturers should come out with some decent looking and nice sounding exhausts. If they could do that then maybe we wouldn't change our exhausts as much as we do as a whole group. California is coming out with a new law in 2013 that says we can't change the stock exhaust at all...

My stock chain is still looking good at 21,500 miles. I use plenty of chain wax/lube.

I have an 08 with over 21,000 miles on it and it still runs great with no problems yet. Just keep fresh oil and filters in it with a little bit of preventive maintenance from time to time and it should last a long time.

Maybe wind noise now that the fairing is gone. If you don't have a helmet law, try riding it with and without your helmet and see if that matters.

I'm with you. I have an 08 with 21000+ miles and no problems whatsoever with my clutch....or anything else on the bike for that matter. Great bike.

Throw the bike in the trailer and take it with you. That's your cheap transportation when you need to go somewhere but you don't need to take a trailer with you. :thumbup:
