Anyone buy/research any of these child 4 wheelers? My son's 7th birthday is on the 30th, and I was thinking of buying one . I know "you get what you pay for", but I really can't see spending $1700 for a "name brand one", when these are between $500-700. BTW, most come with a year engine warranty.

they turn into major headaches..... that and getting parts is almost impossible if you are gonna go with an off brand go with ones that are well known such as sunl. they seem to be the best, parts still take a lil while, o and dont plan on walking into a normal dealership such as yamaha, honda etc. and getting parts.... doesnt work right down to the battery... i would buy name brand it will also hold its value and you will not have a problem getting rid of it when the time comes the off brand ones no one wants to buy used......

+1 on buying name brand, both suzuki and yamaha make really high quality youth atv's. The other thing to think about from a safety standpoint is do you really want to be placing a child on a piece of motorized equipment made by a company with less exacting manufacturing standards that should parts fail or something go wrong could cause permenant injury or death? Idk about anyone else, but whenever I decide to have kids and they get to that age, I'll save an extra year and buy name brand over getting them an iffy one sooner. Also don't forget to save some extra scratch for top notch gear, because broken growth plates suck! :thumbup:
