I had someone come look at Danny's Jeep Comanche over the weekend. He said he had a friend that was possibly interested in buying it. Yesterday (Monday) he came over and brought his friend and he said he wanted to buy it. I told him that he needs to bring a trailer to load it up because it doesn't run. I told him that we had it running on saturday, but for some reason it stalled and it wouldn't start again. I also told him that it may be out of gas or the fuel pump had gone out because it was not getting fuel pressure and that it needed to be re-geared because we did an axle swap from a 95 cherokee and it has different gears in it. He told me he would come by on Wednesday to buy it!
Today, he shows up with his wife because he doesn't speak english (his friend was the translator) and she asks me if they can drive it out. I said,"no...it doesn't run......it turns over, but it doesn't run." She says," well, we brought those things that....well, I don't know what they're called....ya know, the things that you hook up to the battery." I said," um, jumper cables
." I said, "well...you don't understand, the truck does NOT run." She says," can we try?" *SIGH* 
ok fine! So, I go and get my Jeep and aside from using jumper cables, I have to use a battery pack as well, because the battery is beyond dead. I try to start the truck....Oh look...it won't f**king start!!!! She says, "ok I'll just go ahead and give you the money, but we won't be able to pick it up til we have a tow dolly......do you have the "paper" ?" Oh yeah, I have the "PINK SLIP" :shakehead: "Tow dolly??? you can't use one of those because of the 4 wheel drive." She says, "it's ok, my dad's a mechanic." I said, "yeah, so is my husband." AND.....
I told her that as long as we've had the truck, we never put it in our name and it hasn't been registered in about 7 years and was never registered non-op and the guy we bought it back from never registered it. She said she would go to DMV with the pink slip and see what they say. Since she lives 30 minutes away, I gave her my number so she could call me and let me know about what they require to put it in her name.
She calls me from DMV and says that she needs a bill of sale from the guy we bought it from, 8 years ago. I said, "yeah ok....that's not gonna happen." She said,"or, you can sign this release of liabilty form for me and then I can find out how much YOU GUYS owe for the fees on the registration." I said," whoa, wait a minute.....I am NOT paying any fees.....you want to buy the truck, it's your problem now." She says," I was thinking maybe, whatever you owe for the fees, you could just deduct it from the price of the truck." I said, "Are you serious? I sold the truck to you for $300!!!!!.....it's not like I was asking $2,000 for it. You go find another truck like that for $300.....you CAN'T." I said, "ya know, if it's gonna be this much of a hassle, you can just bring me back the pink and I'll give you your money back, because I will not pay any fees." She actually said something about if the fees are going to be $500, then she just wanted me to give her the truck!!! I thought,"WTF are you smoking b*tch? F YOU!"
Sure, I could put the truck on Craigslist and sell it for more, but I don't have the time! $300??? Come ON!!!
I'm so freaking pissed right now. I'd rather call pick-a-part and give them $25 to take it than to deal with these POS people that always want something for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
