Yeah, we generally get ripped off by the corporations here, not just for bike bits either... we get ripped for everything.

Yep.......they are overly priced, and as Dave said, we get screwed....unless we shop OS, and buy stuff from the States, with which the Aussie dollar compares favourably with these days...then we get a decent price!
Is just a pity we have to "ship' stuff from one side of the world to the other, to get a good price!

Lol....that would be right.....Yamaha Australia buys something we all can, and doubles the price, cause it's them that's selling it to us!
Nice one Humpy....i think you just saved me some cash, as my present tank pad is looking a little worse for wear right now!

Thats just the way Yamaha rolls :spank: :spank:.... My local Yammie shop tried selling me these frame sliders a week ago for $120
even with my discount card & a mate working out the back...... Just ordered some off Ebay for $45

Well it sucks! I know all the Manufacturers do similar stuff to a degree...but why?

Beats me , my mate down there at Yamaha told me that there is a minimum 80% mark up on EVERYTHING in their store
:spank:..... We get sooooo screwed over , do you realise how much that makes half of our gear to make ??? Absolutely BUGGER ALL !!!!!!!! Yet we pay exorbitant prices for everything 
, sometimes living down under really does have its setbacks....

Jesus Lone, you almost sounded like an Aussie then....Pretty outrageous isnt it! But you know what, i had a mate who recently paid $90 for a tank pad for his MT-01....it might of been even more...and it's tiny, a stupid shape, and does bugger all to prevent scratching of his tank....
That second tank pad is the one I got from Coast Yammy....twice. Had it on my FZ6, on both tanks.
Had to search like heck to find it and walked in with the part number in hand, but it has been around for at least 2 years. Thought you might have recognised it...lol.:BLAA:

Got my tank pad, clear one, from Ebay seller in Perth - RatedR parts.
Cost about $28 and I'm really happy with it - didn't hide the stripe on my tank.

but ya, i paid something like 30 for mine which I think is a fair price. paying 60 is bad enough, but 90? wow. not sure what the conversion is to aussie dollars....but i do know everything is way more expensive down there.

I got mine for about 40$ from the dealer I got my bike from, but they put it on for me, I thought (wrongly) getting them to do it would make it a better job than when I did it on my last bike. Nope if anything they did a worse job, and its a clear one which means it looks even worse.
