WTF Killboy?!?!?

So, Killboy posted the photos from Tues the 19th and Thurs the 21st for the Dragon. I scoured all categories and there are NONE of me on the FZ6!!!???!!??!?!?!? He's got shots of my wife coming through AFTER me in both directions. When I went, there was next to no one on the road near me when I passed the camera. So, how does he miss me on three separate passes but has shots of my wife for all three? :Flip: :rant:

All's I can say is THANK GOD for ZeeFoto because I have a selection of almost 70 shots of both my wife and I for both days on the Dragon. :rockon:

Guess where MY money is going? :thumbup:

You were going so fast the images came out blurry...
 
I did not see Killboy in the Gap on the 19th. My pics were on Zeephoto and another site.

[EDIT]: I just checked Killboy's site, I am photo #4 & #5 of the sportbikes page for the 19th.

Your wife looks better on a bike than you lol?

Nothing against Killboy but he gets a lot of people that pull off and talk to him..... Hence distractions........... US129 photos all the times I have been down there have tagged me twice as much as Killboy and I think the pictures looked better also....

I did so those two shots and was disappointed that I didn't get to meet up with you. :(

I did see another FZ6 there, an '05 with a blue Puig windscreen and was snubbed by the guy when I waved at the overlook. He wouldn't even acknowledge me... First thought was.... Magseal but he didn't have a Canadian plate. :rof:

FYI... Darryl responded to my e-mail I wrote to him regarding the shots of my wife and non-existence of photos of myself. He also mentioned that he read this thread here on 600riders.com. (Thanks Darryl!)

He asked for, and I sent him links to the shots that were captured of my wife on both Tuesday and Thursday to use as a reference point based on photo numbers. I hope he can find something because as he stated, he said it was unacceptable that I would be missed on three separate passes. I did look through both days, in all categories to be sure I wasn't misclassified and couldn't find any. I hope Darryl does find some or discovers that a set wasn't put online because it was overlooked. ;)

Kudos to Killboy for the quick response and his efforts!

:D It's like a wallet vs. a purse. I carry less than her. :D

We'd already checked out of the Two Wheel Inn on Thursday morning so we had all the bike luggage on with everything we needed for an overnight stay in Cherokee (in case Joe didn't make it to the hotel). The rest of our stuff was in Joe's truck with the trailer. He had to go back to Chattanooga Wed. night to work Thursday morning. He came back and picked up the truck and trailer then drove it to Cherokee to meet us for a couple more days.

We ended up staying two days in Cherokee. Very nice place! Great people there. Joe won $600 at the Casino after spending only $85 then he quit for the night. My wife and I won, lost, won and ended up leaving about $20 in the hole. Not a bad night. :D
 
FYI... Wanted to let you know that Killboy (Darryl) was right on top of this for me. Because of the feedback I left, he is changing how he conducts his business at Deal's Gap. Those of you going next week, he is aware you are coming. :thumbup:

After a few e-mails back and forth about the details of our passes, Darryl replied with this. This is good customer service!

The one from Tuesday was not added, just over-looked understandably I think. We only got two shots of you that day, and the better angle was not in focus, so we didn't post it. Only other shot was that so-so one from the back, which coincidentally was pulled for a potential highlight, and I'll probably post it this week to make up for our slackness. We figured out what happened Thursday. Our morning guy was shooting all morning just north of the Overlook. You guys came up from the south, turned around at the Overlook, and went back, so never went by him. Our evening guy got there and started shooting JUST as your wife went by, she was the 3rd bike he shot that day. So I'm guessing you snuck by as he was setting up.

To resolve this issue we will no longer be shooting outside of the area between the Overlook and the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort unless there is a second photographer within that area. It's normally the way we shoot anyway, but this was a rare exception and caused at least one problem...possibly others that didn't speak up.

Thanks again for the feedback, it helped us recognize a problem and correct it.

Here was my reply to him and he responded once again with his OK for me to post his response in this thread:

I think the miss on the second pass was as simple as this (and I do not fault your photographer for it!) My bike is stock exhaust and VERY quiet so he likely did not hear me coming. No one was coming through for a few minutes and he was totally caught off guard when I rounded the corner. If he got any shots at all, he likely did not have time to focus let alone pull the trigger. To sum it up, I need loud pipes! (Have to tell the wife this one..... HA!)

I logged in and created an album with all seven shots, one of me and six of her. I'm going to have her select the ones she likes so we can buy them.

I appreciate your time and effort in looking into this and whole-heartedly agree with your resolution. Thanks again Darryl!

It is a shame we didn't get to meet either. I was looking for FZ's but didn't see any others. I plan on taking my daughter to the Gap the week leading up to July 4th. This time we will have the Tiger.

Killboy had a couple good shots of you. :D I had a look at your pics because at a glance it looked like mine. Clearly after looking a second time and opening the thumbnail, it wasn't but a blue fizz with the Cortech sport saddle bags draws my attention! :thumbup:
