Ok folks, having just taken over as moderator for the racing forum...i have been thinking, what is the most popular World Championship in Motor Bike Racing, do forum members like most....and do they watch Motorbike Racing??/

So i though i would set up a poll!

Go to it, folks...it might help me post more relevant threads of interest.

I watch MotoGP and WSBK, I never miss a race! Can't wait for this Sunday's opening MotoGP race at Losail.

We usually go and watch at the local pub, there is a friendly Yamaha/Honda/Kawa/Suz/Ducati rivalry but it can get heated! My wife is a fanatical Rossi fan and if someone makes a derogatory comment about him, especially about being gay she goes nuts!

I've only ever been to one race, the British MotoGP at Donington in 2006. We went for all three days and it was great fun, the noise is something you just don't get watching on TV.

We have our first WSBK for many years on May 17th at Kyalami which is 20 minutes ride from me so I'm looking forward to that.

Here's some pics I took at Donington

I enjoy the technology of Moto GP but right now the racing in WSBK is better. The riders are great and the racing excellent right now and looks like it may get better as the year progresses and more of the new bikes get sorted. Its always better when a number riders and mfg's are competitive. Anxious to see the first MOTO GP races this season, maybe will see something more competitive than follow the leader this year!!

Nice photo's, very nice! Better not tell your wife that I am a bit anti-rossi...I think he is a god on a bike, but off track he has become a bit of a side-show!

Glad to see there are other racing "tragics" on the forum!

There is no denying the riders and the bikes in Moto GP are the very best and that makes for wonderful watching for sure, it is quite similar to F1 in the respect and look what's going on there this year. I'll be watching intently this weekend for sure, I am still catching up on the last WSBK race from last weekend, our coverage here in the states is iffy at best. I am finding that i am really enjoying super sport this year as well. Could just be my affinity for 600's but the racing has been crazy with passes everywhere. Bring on the big boys this weekend and let the season being proper!!!

I've been addicted to World SBK since the start of the season. Watching Spies and Haga duke it out for the championship gets the adrenaline flowing.

I can't wait to see it live in late May at Miller Motorsports Park.

My roommate and I religiously watch MotoGP, and regularly attend all the american races, Stoner/Rossi last year at the Red Bull was the best thing I have ever watched

that being said how can someone not love Rossi, the guy can race on gravel!

I like AMA because I know who the riders are, however I hate the AMA because of the silly NASCAR like mentality that has been imposed.

GO ESLICK!!!!

You forgot the AMA outdoor MX Nationals or the FIM world outdoor motocross? I do like the world superbike and the likes but it seems the outdoor motocross is very exciting. It's great live as you can get right next to the track. It's pretty amazing how fast they really go. The are a lot faster live than on TV. Just my 2 cents worth.
Thanks

Well in truth, i didnt forget them, and they are both awesome Championshps...was just sort of including the Championships that get the most media, and interest...and i do know that both these events are hugely popular...and awesome to watch i might add!

Will try and post some info, and results for these championships as well.

Moto GP for me.Lets hope Stoner and Rossi have a few more nose to tail races this season with the rest of the pack a little closer making it even more entertaining to watch.

Hehehe, if it's got a motor and any number of wheels, I'll watch it ;)

Pity about the MotoGP last night, gotta stay up again tonight now to watch it :)

yes....and it's on a some ungodly hour of the morning as well...must stay awake! Must stay awake!
