I just installed my FZ1 bars and there is a little metal tab that's on the right side handle bar. What's it for?

ive herd people mention it and talk about grinding it down but i didnt have it one mine, i think its strickly for the fz1 controls

Were you able to get the bars on without shaving it off? I have the same bars waiting to be installed...

I wonder if the reason some people have it and others don't are related to the years. I ordered one part and got a "replacement" that was in stock - that was supposed to be the same/compatible (although a slightly different part number). Perhaps the second gen FZ1 has the mount point and the older ones don't? At any rate, I'm just glad I don't have to mar up the bars trying to Dremel that thing off of there.

Thanks guys! Wonder were I can get the special tie that holds the wires down? Yamaha if the price is good.

Here is the yamaha part number: 90464-20191-00. It's just called a "clamp".

It should cost less than $2 :D

Part # 12
