I have lost 30 pounds. My summer weight riding jacket is now too big. Too bad I will have to go shopping for a new one with my recently acquired birthday money.

Bloody show off, My gut was more of an investment in fermented Barley and Hopps.I can't comment as I have not gained or lost more than 5 lbs from age 19 - 34.![]()

Worst part of the day: taking the first chair up. Not warmed up yet and you just sit there completely exposed to the elements. Usually gets better as the day progresses, but some days are so cold.. you just never really warm up.

Anyone else got a downside tail to shedding a few pounds?
Good effort Dan, was going to rep ya until I had the mental picture of your ShreddiesAfter losing 25 kilos & counting I'd say the biggest downside it having to buy an ENTIRE new wardrobe !!!! Not even my old undies fit me anymore :BLAA: :BLAA:
I have decided to go this route as I can almost slip my new lid off my head if I tip it and pull it forward from the rear.hi nelly. congrats for your weight loss! keep the jogging up!
as for the helmet, can you buy a cheap ass helmet (that is still ece/dot approved) old models tend to be heavily discounted until you can fork out the money for a decent lid that you like? i know its a waste of money just to buy a helmet that will be tossed away after a few months but at least you can ride in relative safety this way
I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee weights no really, Hate them. Any tips?As for maintaining weight, it is much easier to keep the weight off if you put on muscle vs just doing cardio.
The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn while doing NOTHING. Cardio only burns off your reserves and access. So don't neglect resistance training (be it weights, calisthenics, bands.. it's all good).

Well yeah.. how about body weight exercises? Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, lunges.. that's nearly a full body workout right there.
Resistance bands are great too. Minimal investment and can be taking with you anywhere you go. 20 minutes a day 3 times a week can make a world of difference.
